Re: So, tell us about yourself...

I was just reminiscing about Dungeon Master with some folks in a Discord community and mentioned this forum in conversation, and then wondered if the forum was still here and active, and ... it is! Just wanted to say I hope everyone is doing well. It's been a minute :)

Re: So, tell us about yourself...

Oh, you know me, popping in every few years... or at least that's what it seems like...?

I'll try to stick around a bit better this time! I'm just really bad at keeping up with things these days...

Introducing a friend to the game (hi, everybody!)

Well, I'm back because I was talking to a game dev friend of mine about Dungeon Master and how ahead of its time it was and how solid its design is and, oh, you know, the usual fanatical fangirl conversation. I have apparently convinced him that he needs to play it, so tomorrow he's coming over to b...

Re: Race to Fusion

Haha! You remember me, too, Ameena? Yes, I am still writing. We both are. I've actually had two stories published in the past year too (it's been a big year for me!) and fingers crossed that more will follow. BFS has started taking his writing very seriously so we are hoping he'll get published soon...

Re: Race to Fusion

Yes! Actually, BloodFromStone and I got married last fall. I was looking through my old posts just now and saw one he made about my 21st birthday. It has been a while, hasn't it? :) I hope you're all doing well. I think Legend of Grimlock is what brought DM up in conversation. I'm definitely going t...

Re: Race to Fusion

It's been approximately a bazillion years since I last posted on this forum, but somebody got me started talking about Dungeon Master today and that led me back here (since he was like "what? speed runs in 15 minutes? you've got to be joking." and I had to prove him wrong by linking to you...

Brown hair, blue outfit - you really can't wrong with that for Selie. But yeah, maybe I'll change my icon to something. I should draw a new picture to use for icons. Otherwise you'll all be stuck with my butterfly fairy pictures. HOHOHO. I'll play DM, really I will. Only if you keep talking about wo...

Some day I'll get past the purple worms in CSB. When I get past the purple worms in DM. If I did. Which I don't remember. If I did or not, that is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IRA Here you go, ADDF. Usually when people put something in all caps, that means it's an acronym, like this one.

Not familiar with the ETA. I'm not a big fan of people blowing things up, but I like it more than people blowing people up.

Any Londoners here? You okay?

So I heard about the explosions. Dunno what it was, but it sounds pretty scary. There's a higher concentration of British people here than in any other online community I'm part of, and I don't know if anybody (Ameena?) lives in London or might happen to have been there today. So if you're okay and ...

Ameena, wtf is a "smegger"? Is this some sort of crazy British slang I can make fun of you people for?

There's something really adorable about that picture. Or maybe it's just because I'm tired.

I've pulled 12+ hour stints on some games, but I don't remember which. I think if I tried to play DM for that long, my poor heart would give up under all the stress.

To represent the series, hmm... actually, I'd say Lord Chaos because, well, no matter who you put in your party, you're going up against Chaos. In both versions of the game. He even gets his name in the title of the second game! He is THE dude. So go with him. I don't believe that's how GameFAQS wor...

I think that's the floor I got to and couldn't ever get far into. The presence of a wasp and a ghost, and the overall difficulty level you're describing ... to all of you who are stuck there, I've never ever gotten past there. If you manage it, tell me so I can perhaps feel inspired to try again.

So first I have to take this "test" - and then, you realize, you have to tell us which character you named your kid after. If it's "Alex" I'm going to laugh. But I can see some of the odder ones making decent names. Like Chani. That's a fine name. Elijah's relatively normal... 1)...

If I'm not mistaken, people in fantasy communities tend to use "wyrm" for what is essentially a wingless dragon, right? I think they just do it to avoid confusion when talking about monsters, going by D&D handbooks, etc - but it's perfectly acceptable to have a lizardy creature without...

Half-life gave me nightmares because its world was well-designed, believable, and frightening to me. I can't watch it any more, which is a shame because it is an awesome game. I thought Mophus was doing well enough until you all started making fun of his smile again. He's not insane or anything, he's just happy! He's an optimist! Maybe there's some sort of "special" attribute to that food he has at the beginning! But regardless, he's a nice, happy, friendly guy....

When I was a kid, we would watch TNG and none of us would be allowed to speak except during commercial breaks. My mother was very enthusiastic about her Star Trek. DS9 was okay but never quite had the same magic, and I haven't liked too much of what I saw of Voyager. I support Enterprise because Sco...
