I don't think we should ignore what these scientists are claiming. To do so would be insane, I am not saying they are all completely off their rocker either. I am merely suggesting that, as they don't fully understand what the hell is happening with the Earth's climate, they are presenting us with t...

I agree that is very bad but I just wonder if that poor standard of education is exclusive only to Americans.
I am sure the majority of the teenagers who work at my place would struggle to find Scotland on a map of the UK.

My question to you though PaulH is if I gave you a map of the world that was had no country names written on it, would you be able to find Iraq? It's easy when the map has details, we know roughly the region and the word IRAQ screaming out at us makes it easier to find. But on a blank outline only m...

I was just about to post how my banter about Yorkshire had derailed a perfectly good thread.

Was there something on Fahrenheit 9/11 where Michael Moore asked several Americans to point out Iraq on a map? He seemed to only show the ones that pointed to Thailand.

I like a nice cold pint of Stella in the lager stakes, John Smiths from the ale side, can't beat a Red Aftershock on a cold winters night.

Speaking of Stella does anyone remember when it was cheap and French? Now it's Belgian and the most expensive on the market.

When I referred to that "scumbag element who make the net a dangerous place" I was thinking more on the lines of people who use chat rooms and forums to meet people in real life, but have bad motives for doing so. I agree with Beowuuf about tracking down kiddie porn traders at the source a...

Back in 1999 the sheer amount of crazy theories about what exactly would happen at when the new millenium arrived were becoming something of a joke. Maybe it never was circulated in the US, but here the "news" leaked that all America's war heads were controlled by a computer that would be ...

Hi everyone! I'm a DM fan back from the ST days and I am happily amazed that the game is still popular and has a hardcore base of fans. I don't think any game of similar format has come close to DM or CSB even though many have tried. Favourite DM character is Chani, maybe thats sad but whoever she i...

Oh I agree. I think there is a huge problem with the fact we all assume too much about one another and take very little time to actually truly understand the way each of us work. But while ever us white people are let down by the minority of racist bigots, the ethnic communities are let down by stat...

Problem is though PaulH that the ethnic minorities can't seem to win with some people. Example people say Muslims and such like don't make any attempt to fit in to our culture, but when some choose to observe Christmas and Easter they get slated for it by some small minded people. Ok so its not thei...

Seriously you can by latex Bin laden face masks from any fancy dress place, it says Osama Bin laden on the packet, I saw a load when I was going to a party a while back and needed a costume, I asked the shop owner did he seriously sell any of those and they said it was all the rage at the minute.
