ACE review

I like the Predicted Interest Curve in the ACE review. Apparently interest would drop to near zero after 1 year ! I wonder what they would have predicted for 19 years !

oops already noted before I see.

Hmm Yes now you all mention it, I do need the keyboard controls for picking up the corbums. Also a confession I mark the position of the corbums with a felt tip on my monitor ! Put the mouse popinter on it then remember the keyboard strokes without even looking at the screen. Only way I can get them !

Do most people not use the direction arrows ? I use them all the time. I find it much more awkward using the keyboard. Maybe my keyboard skills need improving.

Happy Xmas everyone BTW.

I sse there is a chat channel on IRC as well for Dungeonmaster. 3 ops always logged in (Rain. sucinum & Parunexus) but never any one actually there. makes flash chat look crowded! Does anyone ever use it ?

I will be clearing the decks for this one. Can't wait to see what's in store for us this time. Chaos is making more comebacks than Elvis or even Blunkett.

Thanks Marrelli, that makes sense. Similar to getting the firestaff out of the dragon level without closing off the rest of the dungeon.

Hmmm.... That was from memory, could have sworn it was right ! The others are definitely right though.

Also we should all remember. DM was written for the ST. Everyone should be made to chant everyday

The ST was the greatest. We all know it just some are still to admit it. The Atari 1040 ST ws the computer of choice for top recording artists such as B.B. King, Mick Fleetwood, The Pointer Sisters, Dave Mason, Tangerine Dream, and Jay Ferguson. It produced the number 1 hit Vienna by Ultravox It is ...

One real bugbear playing DM on an original 520 ST was the loading times. Took a while to load from scratch but that wasn't a real problem. The annoying part was when using a staircase. Each level had to load from the disc and took quite a long time, about 15 seconds or so as I recall. Irritating if ...

The only people sharing my name I can find are a potato wholesaler in Bournemouth and some janitor in an Australian museum.

I bought an Atart St in the late 80s originally for the MIDI connection. So I could connect it to my music keyboard. (A feature sadly lacking on the feeble Amiga!) I bought a few games for the ST memorably Wizball, Space Quest, Police Quest ,Gauntlet2, and Winter Olympics. Most memorable of all were...

When I want the inquisitor I sometimes lead one Golem right down to the room where the Turquise and Ra keys are and lock him im. Slow process ? Can be but backing off a few steps and then sleeping to speed him up works quite well. And mis-timing how long you sleep can be very painful or fatal with h...

Towers Of Chaos review

Towers Of Chaos review by Alan Froud I recently completed Towers Of Chaos by PaulH and hope a short review will be helpful to anyone considering playing this game. I had previously completed Black Flame also by Paul and enjoyed it very much. My review gave it 9/10. This has restricted me a bit in gi...

Not if you don't want to go up any levels !
