Re: Vaporum - Impressions (ENG) and Walktrough (ITA)

I think Vaporum mechanics are more in tune with something like Dungeon Hack but instead on steroids - the game is blazingly fast!

I can't wait for Lockdown but apparently the epidemic slowed things down to a crawl when it comes to its development.

Re: DM2 for Windows: skwin / skwinspx / skproject status

I need to give it a whirl sometimes. I've been introducing more people to dungeon crawlers these days and the people I've shown DM2 to are fairly interested in trying it out.

Also hi! I'm still alive

Re: [CSBwin] Conflux III: the Undercity

I did find a peculiar bug with the alchemical oven. Haven't used it 3 times because I simply forgot during unlocks. Then I used it to replicate the Zo Liqueors with Sar Wine + Zo Liqouer recepie and all I started getting was bizarre outcomes. I put in a Ven Egg and got a dragon heart without putting...

Re: The Tree Gorgon

Yeah the palette was weirdly washed out. Dunno why.

Funny thing is - most of the graphics would be good enough to replace skeletons, axemen and wolves - they have their respective actions all animated out. What's missing are the skeleton wraiths from that small crypt area with the mummies.

Re: The Tree Gorgon

Interesting. I haven't seen it in the leaked alpha-beta (The DM 1.9). The Tree Gorgon there was more similar to the one that made it to the final game. Personally, I don't find that new Tree Gorgon that bad, I think it has some style; I am more annoyed with the cartoon version of Thorn Demon, Dragot...

Re: Legend of Grimrock

I'm hoping there's a Light spell of some kind, so I can dump all these torches I've been lugging around - I don't know how scarce they'll become later on if there is no Light spell (or if there is but I fail to find the recipe) so right now two characters have about half their inventory full of tor...

Entering 6th. But I need to backtrack since I'm SURE I missed few notes and secrets. Re: [RTC] Bane of the Cosmic Forge

I recommend Dos Version + DOSBOX and patch it with Cosmic Forge beforehand. I've read that there is some game breaking bugs/anomalies in Wizardry Gold, so I returned back to the roots. As for the party in Wiz8 (Start anew): All female - Dracon Samurai, Rawulf Valkyre, Felpurr Bard, Mook Inventor, El...

I found a very rare bug...
Spoiler
Apparently the helm of madness(Dexhelm) can recite random texts, right? I got a text from Sonja's mirror - her stats as well as her name before that. I don't think that's intentional.

Re: Conflux - where do I start?

If you don't mind spoilers: I always go with Iadio, given he can level up his ninja skills pretty easily and throw punches like mad Lief is a good first run pick - decent STR combined with a weapon (mace) can give you an advantage. Zed is an interesting choice if you prayed to Libra before venturing...

As far as I remember from the old Betas 'Release hell' pretty much did what it said - the food became less nutritious, the water less filling, monsters got harder... It's pretty much "Engage nightmare mode"

many spiders in their lair
I fear this might be the same kind of a problem I've encountered in the sewers with monster overpopulation, but I'm still doing the council level and haven't bothered much with the crypt or spiders to test that hypothesis.

Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

I passed the strong current. Wasn't that hard - until I saw half a hundred leeches there! I killed about 30 before I decided to stop. I think that's another 'overpopulation' that needs fixing. (Trollins seem to generate a lot less frequently now, but I still say it would be better to tone them down ...
