It always used to scare the crap outta me, since I usually play games at a rather high volume level :(

Walking, listneing to the music, then suddenly CRACKK! followed by the loud screams of your electrified party.

Never failed to make me jump.

Backwards compatibility issues

Hi guys, I looked around and did numerous different searches trying to find the topic mentioned to me about using dungeons from .35 (or .36) with the current version, but I just couldn't find it. Whenever I open a dungeon that had no issues a year ago (long time, I know :P) I get a massive list of b...

I might be able to make it for the 30th anniversary :P

I'd be 26/27 then and actually have a (decent paying) job, I'm assuming.

Aaaaactually, the only real thing probably stoppign the fixing compile for backwards compatibility will be the wall_icon_map fix - look up one of the previous threads somewhere about it! Gotcha. I'll do a search. Because, even though you could finish the dungeon in 9 minutes with all secrets (if yo...

Hehe, I noticed when I opened my first demo-map there's a few bugs now. I sometimes get damaged for no reason when I'm moving, and when I open it up in the editor, there's no way I can compile it becaus eof the massive lsit of bugs I get :P And there was nothing wrong with it with .35, hehe. Looks l...

Not that anyone remembers me, but

I'm back :D Haven't been on here for over a year. I had to move across the country, and staying at my Aunt and Uncle's over the summer, I couldn't access my dungeon I was working on. Then after that came school. Ugh. Anyway, going into my last year of high school in a few weeks. So I'll be on here f...

I'd say... Either kick your roommate out, or tell them to get rid of the cat. Sounds like a bad situation =/

Yeah it is, hehe.

I've played Nightmare on Elm Street on the NES (well, a ROM of it), and I think that might work, hehe.

Not sure how it would be put in, though.

So, just so I can get this straight:

Are you thinking similar to DM2, where the monsters didn't damage you until the animation was done?

Maybe. Not really into the older stuff, personally. Except Iron Maiden. *nod* That's some good stuff.

It's all a matter of preference, though. I like the darker, louder sounding stuff, as opposed to the skillful guitar playing (once again, except Iron Maiden :P )

Well, in DM2, I've managed to get... not too far in Skullkeep, I don't think it's that I can't do it, it's mainly because I always become caught up in other stuff. And then, I come back, and since I don't like getting far in a game, not playing for 2 or 3 months, then continuing, because I don't cle...
