Re: DM2 Beta Monsters...

I tried to rebuild it, with mixed results. I don't remember exactly how I did it the last time, so results are a mixed bag. I think I was reordering palettes with a batch tool, with Image Magic maybe? There are better tools and file structure information out since I was playing with it. DM2 v 0.9 fi...

Re: Releasing RTC source code / future of RTC.

I'm still here - lurking away :D Real life keeps getting in the way, but I still have every intention to return! As Gambit says above, there's a candidate V0.50 which fixes several of the bugs that have been reported; it's just a question of finding time to polish it up a bit more and fix some of t...

Before you will learn all boosting spells, you are playing mostlly using ninja skills (trowing objects). When you finally get some usefull spells, you are allready...

I was wisiting often knight-brotherhood (themed fencing club preforming shows and trainings), and for most people using effectively 2 large weapons is imposible... u need to be strong enough, at least a bit amidextrious, and train a lot, becouse your body moves difrently then with one weapon... thos...

(under certain conditions monsters jsut don't turn full stop) How about a rotator + teleport forcing him to stay and look forward, when u are at the tile by the table (preshure pad there activating the merchant lock). Then again any object (missile, spell) going to the tile where the merchant stand...

DMII Merchants

Well, if GG dont like the 6 sloted money boxes (i loved it), there are diffrent sugesstions: - A possibility to pay the merchant with a money box. He would obviously not give any discount, but charged at a full price, at the same time changing money. - A bit AI for the merchant? I hate when he sells...

Fully agree. this pearl is taking a bit less then 19 kb. I find kid dungeon a perfect place to level up (up to mid levels), since there is a button operated screamer generator (in a room with the normal, button operated door), and a fountain. U have flasks there too, I'm just not shure of the xp mul...

There have been lots of discussions about this, but for various technical and performance reasons, it's not lilkely to happen. If there was a possibility of starting RTC to run a selected, compiled dungeon (similar to COMPILE Modules\New\MyDungeon.txt ), then it would be solved. And then another sw...

I do, and i find DM2 PC graphics better... thought compernig dm/csb vs EotB 1/2/3, dark and gloomy DM style wins.

And i liked halfsteps, but it took a while to get used to them.

One thing I terriblly miss in DM part of RTC : Starting Screen MUSIC!!! It was perfect... I kept my DM PC just for 2 reasons - to have a source to compare RTC with DM and catch difrences, and to be able to listen to intro music. Im not shure if its not a code-generated music or some sort of a music ...
