Re: What are the runes above the entrance?

I think it interesting that while the font / art changed from the demo to the final product, the runes themselves did not. http://dmweb.free.fr/files/DM-AtariST-TeaserDemo-Screenshot03.png I had only recently seen the demo screen, and that is what started me thinking on it. The consistency makes me ...

What are the runes above the entrance?

I can't seem to find mention of them in the manual, and my attempts at finding an answer on the internet in general have failed.

since you go through row by row ( 0,0-0,1-0,2..0,x-1,0-1,1...) are there any issues with items jumping columns (from 3,4 to 4,4) or more specificaly, back columns (from 4,4 to 3,4 which hasalready been calc'd)? It seems you should only have to shadow the monster or the projectile. Shadowing both would probably lead to double damage.

Re: OT: Motherboards

It is of course up to you, but I have had problems with Abit boards on more than one occasion. And perhaps more importantly I have had trouble dealing with their tech support; I still have a motherboard that broke within the 1 year warrenty that I could not get them to fix or replace. I would seriou...

Re: General CSB debugging

First I just don't have time for any sort of playing right now. But even when I do get time (should be just a couple more weeks, then school is out!), I have never played CSB before so I won't be able to point out differences. Gambit: I very highly, very strongly recomend ASUS motherboards. If you w...

I could be wrong but I'm fairly sure you can import your current characters into a new dungeon game. I'm not sure how though cuz I havn't really messed with that.

The error dump.

I really don't know what would be usefull to you, George, but it seems to me there are a couple of pieces of information that could be included in the error dump such as x,y,z position in the dungeon and the name of the dungeon file being played. Maybe also the names of the characters. Those just se...

Your dates on the news items are wrong I think. It is 2002 not 2001, unless the current news is a year old and outdates the november news in the archive? Don't worry, you are the second site I have told the same thing to.

Re: Overriding 'internal' stuff. (v0.17)

A clumsy but potentially effective method (for level by level changes): Trigered spell graphic changers. Not the most beutiful method but potentially more flexible? Internally do spells have names? or are they defined by their symbols? Something like this: 1008&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp...

You can get a pretty good idea from reading our past threads - 'food goes away too fast!' 'no! its too slow!' 'throwing does to much damage' 'skills goup too slow' skills go up too fast' etc. etc. etc. :)

Re: I dont get this

When DM was released, it was state of the art, brand new and really really cool. By the time DM2 was released full 3D rpg games were out with better graphics and better npc interaction. Thus, when DM was released it was new. When DM2 was released it was old. However, the differences were asthetic mo...

Re: I dont get this

About the only thing I miss from from DM2 are the merchants. I am working on a similar system (though not nearly as elegant) for RTC. A couple of my own notes: *) when DM came out it was state of the art. I believe it was the first real-time roleplaying game. DM2 when it came out was old technology,...

It sounds like you aren't editing your config file like you need to. When I said I changed it to 32 bit I am referencing the line in the config.txt file that looks like: SCREEN_MODE&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp 640x480x24 not the resolution of my desktoip. As long as you are in full screen...
