After solving the mirror puzzle ... Grap a mirror and push it into the teleporter's area. Wait till they move away and then push it one more. Go back and get another mirror. Push it likewise but use your "Push/left" (which doesn't work). Now you can step into the NW-most square and the tel...

Beowuuf: I did bring it up -- in a message that disappeared. I have since found it in an archive area. But it was really gone for a while - even the forum's search engine couldn't find it. One point is that we have monsters in corners of a square, on the 2 (4!) sides, and in the center. The minion i...

Oh, yes - an example.

Take the Imp maze. There are several corridors where we want the fireballs to follow the corridor. A spinner doesn't work. A mirror would - be want a haze and not a big gizmo filling the pathway.

(Something for the wish list.)

OK, I found my old message in the archives. The search feature of the forum didn't see it for some reason. Anyway, the problem is dumping the party 2 levels down. I always lose 1 character and usually 2. And then I have to go get back inside - and found myself locked out. Perhaps a trigger in front ...

New action for teleporters

George: Now that you have spell mirrors, teleporters need similar actions. Unless there is some other invisible 'object' that implements that.

The Fantasy Trip had a Magic Fist spell - plus Fireball and Lightning. It was fast and invisible in TFT. For RTC, maybe take a rock and recolor it. It would use Blunt Damage.

Or maybe a icicle? It would use Sharp damage.

And I think someone created a Snowball in one of the example dungeons.

Killing the Imp (possible spoilers)

I don't have DOSBox + DM2 running, so this is a question for someone who does. There is a 'safe' square in the maze - just north of the illusionary walls. I remember finding this when I played IBM/DM2 several years ago. Step one square north and one square west - you'll be facing a button. Stand the...

[Not a bug] Explosions inside illusionary wall

Explosions inside illusionary wall appear on the surface of the wall.

I'm not sure this a total bug. It makes sense to have some indication visible. Maybe use a small(er) explosion graphic for the part of explosion that extends beyond the illusionary square.

[Not a bug] Friendly minions are obstacles

The guide implies that the party and a friendly minion can co-exist in a square. It doesn't work in RTC. Could someone with DOSBox+DM2 check if the IBM version allows it?

[Fixed for V0.43] Teleport critters can walk thru mirrors

In FTL/DM2, the teleporter critters could not occupy the same square as a porter/scout minion, lamp, or mirror. (OK, tables were probably excluded too - I never tried one.)

I built a wall from the mirrorpuzzle over the quad pit puzzle. That isn't possible in 0.42.

[Not a bug] Zo corridor difference.

In the Zo corridor/pit after the second Earth Key door, the guide says there is alever that closes the pit. RTC/DM2 doesn't have the levelr.

[Fixed for V0.43] Red eye

When a character gains a level, the eye has green around it. When you examine the stats and see the changed level in green, the green around the eye is removed. You can also see red around the eye - usually because a stat has changed and the current level is low. But I have seen cases where the eye ...

[Not a bug] Earth key pit in DM2

(I mentioned this in another message for 0.42, but the message disappeared.) When you press the button that pops the Earth Key out of its hole, the button also opens the pit - so the key drops down. In RTC's version, the party entering the square opens the pit. Is this a variation between DM2 implem...

Tables & gesture menu

In FTL, tables (etc) used what is now known as a gesture menu. You hold the mouse button down (with the hand on the edge of the table) and then move the mouse to select the eight choices. It was fast. In RTC, you click on the table and get a menu on the side. And it's not the full eight choice menu ...

Question: what is the regeneration time of the green gems? In DM2, they come back after a while - so it pays to go around on a harvest run. In DM2, the blue gems on the lowest level don't seem to regenerate. Looking at RTC's version, I spotted a 'sub-quest' "Harvest all the Gems". Maybe th...

I was in the wolf area and had one trot up to me. Remembering DM2 that they nip you for maybe 5 HP, I waited to see how a RTC wolf worked. It went nip for 50+ HP and almost killed the character. [Fixed for V0.42] Push Pull - tables etc

In DM2, tables can rotated. You would grab the table edge and move the mouse left/right.

In DM2, the flaming pots can be push/pulled like tables (rotation isn't useful, of course). Very importnat to use to block passages.

Go inside to the area with the fuel. Stand next to the fuel carts. Look at the map. You will see a room behind the wall. Presumily where the fuel in mined. You can't get there.
