Beowuuf, It would be a lot easier to figure out if I knew what action would create an object specifically in the left hand. I tried the action_swap_character_hand_left, but that action seems to require an object already in the left hand to swap. It would be impossible to figure out what the player w...

Hey Beowuuf, No worries, but I am not sure if I will be able to crack it anytime soon. Tried some more methods and now RTC crashes whenever I pick up and equip the 2H-weapon. So I cleared that and back to the drawing board I go! Any help or advice with this would be much appreciated. This sure...

You need to use an activation action in the equip to target a unique wallitem_action type. Creater that, put an instance anywhre in the dungeon, and have its action be placing your cross in the left hand Can you explain this in more detail? I need to know exactly what actions I would have to put an...

Yes, infact tonari did that very thing in his dungeon. You can use converts with equip and unequip to have other items created when you equip and unequip the weapon, and you can create items that cannot be removed by checkig the 'unremoveable' checkbox in that item type's properties - hence a greye...

Attack Methods & Two-Handed Weapons?
Greetings all, I have a few questions that I need some help finding answers to: 1. If I give a monster the attack_method_scare does it have any effect or work on the party members? I tried to have the monster do a war cry for a close range attack but it didn't seem to have any effect on the party. 2...

You try taking screenshots while being attacked by the undead! Yeah, It's a lot of fun! Helps to turn down the speed in DosBox to a slow crawl, then you can snap away as much as you like. I always thought LOL had some great graphics, especially for the monsters. They have some excellent walls...

Yes, I haven't been able to even access guard.shp with the new version where DK added the zoom feature or this other version from today. However, I could access it with the very first version I d/led prior to the zoom feature version. The colors were still incorrect, but it was accessible. You are d...

Yeah, I got the cave dweller pal working as well. After messing around some more I had a few others work also. Still, sometimes parts of the monsters bodies are not correct. For instance, I found the ratman color pal, but the claws, toenails and mouth were incorrect! They were like a bright green, w...

Hmmm... I guess my next question would be if I would have to make the barrel a trigger and how? I haven't had much practice with the relays and actions yet, so I am not sure how I would go about doing that. Since I am new to RTC, I would think I would have to make the barrel a trigger. When it conve...

How to use a floor object (barrel) to drop items?
Greetings all, I created a floor object of a barrel and then another floor object of a broken barrel. I made it so that when you attack the barrel it is destoryed and converts to the broken barrel floor object. My question is, how can I get it to drop items (like food) when the barrel is destoryed a...

I have no idea what will happen when I actually get everything in that I want. I imagine the files will be around 300-400MB! you should compress your wavs in ogg or mp3, you will gain a lot. That's a good idea, didn't think about that! How big is your RTC file? How much real/virtual ram do you have? At the moment my RTC file is 8.46 MB, but it's mostly just been from me adding a crapload of new edited images, soun...

Hey all, Anyone still around in the forums that is familar with this WestPak2 program? I have a quick question about it regarding Lands of Lore 1 .shp files. You misunderstand -- when you import bitmaps, there is an area on the import screen with radio buttons setting the number of scalings for the item. Doors and wallitems must be set to 3, monsters and items set to 6. Most other items are set to one. Look at the settings for existing things to see wha...

Hey all, As far as my new walls go, I needed to totally resize them, so they are not scaled exactly to the DM wallsets. This is why my doors and wall objects are not lining up correctly. Isn't that affected by how many scalings you set on the item when you add it into the editor in the first place? ...

New wallsets with new doors help!
Greetings everyone, I finally created a new wallset and implemented it in my dungeon. I took some walls/tiles from another game and it was no walk in the park trying to get it to fit correctly. It's all good now though, so I started to put in the new matching doors and doorframes. The problem is, I ...
