Re: Hello everybody!

Very late 'hello' to you, Fhiz.

I'm currently playing Might and Magic 6 again.
Found the entire group (1-9) on GOG. Still a family favorite, along with DM.

Re: personal arsenal of spells

Fireball, of course.
The lightning spell seems to work better on the knights. (Any truth to that?)
Poison cloud, unless the critters keep getting away, then I use poison blast.

Ah, never mind, my mistake. I figured it out. I have now completed the game, yay for me :D
Glad for you. I remember wanting to get finished the first time, but sensing I would never experience that goal again.
Oh well. A person must do what a person must do. Right?

Eye of the Beholder series

Visited and noticed a 'trap' thread for EOB.
Any chance any of these great games have been formatted for PC?
Would prefer Win 7, if possible.

P.S. Also noticed a Lands of Lore thread. Any knowledge of a PC-run version?
Thanks for any info.

Re: Steam -- oh my!

We've downloaded a number of STEAM games. Just put together a lower end gaming computer, so we could play most of the STEAM stuff. I found GOG a year or two back. Downloaded the Might and Magic group. Really enjoyed playing #6 and #7 again. Hope everyone has a great new year. MW

Scorpions: Seems three top-level fireballs and one mid-level fireball will do the trick. Rats: If you can't seem to fight them 'hand to hand' and win (keep from getting killed or poisoned), you can lure them to the gate and close it. Then, shoot poison blasts at them through the gate, resting when n...

Sia to perform on SNL

Just saw a commercial that stated Sia would be singing on Saturday Night Live.

For those who don't mind me saying it, Donald Trump is supposed to be on SNL the same night.

Or does the DosBox work better in the long run? Dunno if better , but DosBox works and that's all I need to know. I never need to know more than I need to know, you know? And that would seem to be quite a bit. Doubtful input, but it did make me smile. That's worth a lot, especially as...

Re: Game runs but I am getting no sound

Will the Virtual PC do the same thing? I understand you can do this with a Windows product, if you choose the proper bit program (32 or 64). I also understand SUN offers something similar that allows both 32 and 64 bit to be used with the same program. Or does the DosBox work better in the long run?

Will always remember him, I dressed up as Spock the year I met my wife, she took me home and I never went back. It's hard to believe how many years have passed since seeing him in his 'far more emotional' times in the earlier episodes of Star Trek TOS. Not to mention those (yipes) hairy eyebrows in those same episodes. It was nice to see this thread, paying final respects for a man who, although 'green' blood...

OUCH! I fully expected to see Nathan Fillon, or at least Adam Baldwin, at the sink as he went to wash his hands (with the signed magazine tucked under one of their arms).

I guess I won't be looking forward to seeing this one.

Re: Grate in side room of fireball area

That's one of the best rooms in the game. It's huge. It has the fireballs being tossed about by the blue-fields. It has a large number of reasonably simple puzzles (maybe not so simple the first time). The first serious irritation with those little thieves (empty your hands or pay the penalty). Alon...

The on/off switch, or just the first spinner, for the fireball launcher is very close to the launcher itself, if I'm not mistaken. Grate in side room of fireball area

I believe it's probably in the 'hall with no end' area.
When you get the wall to open, there is a room with a skeleton.
As you enter that room, there is a plate to the right of you.
Does that plate do anything?

If someone has answered this question, I did not see it.
