Game envy here. I've never had the pleasure of this experience.
Anyone know if you can time a fall through one of the pits above the dragon,
being reasonably sure you'll kill the brute?

I checked your game out. I didn't have much time but enjoyed it.
Thanks for your effort. I hope to find time (and take the time) to play around with it later.

I went to your demo of the first few floors. It worked well with the keyboard. Ha. Much faster and easier with no monsters and buttons on every door. I actually found myself disappointed when I couldn't go down the last set of stairs. I don't know about the 'map' feature. It's nice, yet I think gett...

It wasn't just that it was his baby. There was proprietary code he used in a different project that he didn't have the rights to share. It was his code, as in he made it, but he no longer owned the rights to share it. This meant that legally he wasn't able to share the code without having to re-wri...

I understand that, Sophia. The folks I'm trying to help would use it for a very limited amount of time, for technical help through remote. At this point, I suggested that I bring my own laptop, download the necessary files, then transfer (I'm sure you've done that before). The problem is that they a...

I looked back at this thread, hoping someone might have given some opinion on web browsers for the XP system. I have a small business owner who has XP Pro on two of his store computers. He can't get on the internet for remote help or downloading. Any chance someone knows if Opera is still usable for...

Nice to hear the early experiences you went through with your Atari. I bought an ST and later the Mega??? ST. I eventually purchased a colored monitor ($350.00 or more). The better graphics were great. After all these years, Dungeon Master is still pretty decent, even when I compare it to the newer ...

It does seem it might have a 'familiar' look/feel to it (Grimrock mentioned). However, I didn't notice any need to have Spiderman abilities to navigate through it. Unfortunately, that is what frustrated me the most in the Grimrock games. Thanks for letting us know of this upcoming game. I'll try to ...

Excitement at finding old DM handbook
I've been going through some old boxes, purging some of the 'stuff' I just could not toss before. One great find was my original DM handbook. Sadly, I didn't find my GOR coin. Why didn't I tape it to my handbook? I did enjoy many old memories, as I glanced through the handbook. What a great game; DM.

I made a recording of CSB in 6 minutes and 40 seconds. Similar to rain''s 9 minute recording but instead of one save I used around ten. The saves are so I could get the right result with the gigglers for the boots of speed and take maximum risks so it's not a legitimate Race to the Ful Ya Pit entry...

If you're talking about the stone golem dudes I only bother killing the ones blocking the route to Inquisitor because there isn't really any way to get around them, so I just make good use of the doors along that corridor to deal with them. Favorite: Firestaff level. It was the most mysterious level when I was young, lots of secrets and interesting doors. Ra key doors, ruby key door, turquoise key doors, master key door, winged key, the firestaff. Least favorite: Maybe the clockwise level, three paths but only two are accessible. I th...

Favorite is the zoooom level (pun for Ameena's comment). So many interesting things to figure out, as far as the best way to fight. Plus Speedbow and a great axe, as well as the well-hidden speedboots. Honorable mention to the Clockwise level. Also has some great spots and creatures (poison cloud ha...

celestialheavens.com Might and Magic six, seven and eight merge. This is something one of my family members just found. It allows a person to visit all three worlds (6-8) in one game, using the M&M8 engine. The graphics have also been upgraded. If you have a M&M 8 save, you can use that as a...

Saw Dungeon Master 2: Skullkeep, still in box and in the plastic cover (floppy 3.5 disc version), on ebay the other day.
It went, along with two other older games, for over $150.00 (I think). It may have been $180.00, but I deleted it without writing down the number.

Poor Mophus. Does he get all this negative publicity, simply because he's a journeyman priest with no flask? And honestly, after a double 'glug' of a VEN bomb, don't you think Leyla deserves at least some of the blame??? P.S. I still hang my head in shame, for all the years I cross-dressed Wuuf. Poo...

Decided to see how many rats had accumulated in my rat-herding adventure.
May have lost count but 35 rat legs in one fight. Shall I deep-fat fry them, or broil them?

I've been wondering whether creatures have a tendency to go back to the spot where they started,
when you go to another level, or possibly even when you close the gate at safe place on that floor level?

I've spent a little time developing my own little herd of rats on the rat floor.
