Wow, congratulations! Well done! :P Forget the DM2. Take a reincarnated Buzzzz all alone directly into the CSB dungeon and do it again!

Re: Changing the forum software...

I voted for "I would miss the old forum, but would be able to adapt to a new system. Change is inevitable." I would really be sorry to lose Linflas' ProScreamer, it really is fantastic. But of course I understand the need to do this, security, technology, simplicity etc. must be preferred;...

Re: Spreadsheet of the champions?

Alright, but this is the nature of humans and sort of a driving force of all progress, isn't it? Why would one work for 30 minutes when he can think for a couple of weeks and as a result invent a tool that would speed up the process to about 25 minutes? To quote myself, just think about it! Or, alte...

Re: Spreadsheet of the champions?

Interestingly, if you simply select the whole text on DM Encyclopaedia (http://dmweb.free.fr/?q=node/199) from "Portrait, Name, Gender" to "Load 44" (for Elija), Copy it, and then Paste into Excel , the result would be somehow garbled as far as the images, skills and equipment (l...

Re: Brexit... sad.. so sad

I wonder who needs the prayers most... because both the UK and the US will somehow muddle through as they always did in the dark days of the past, they will pass through this valley of tears and re-emerge, scathed and lessened, but still democratic and free. But in the meantime, all the dictators, p...

Re: What does the coin slot do on the worm level?

On the worm level, there's just one similar secret - a gold key in one of the... ummm... drains in the wall. As far as I can remember, that's the only object in such a drain in the whole DM. I've only learned this a couple of years ago when I studied the maps on the internet, I would have never gues...

The only place I can remember that fits this description in DM (a coin slot revealing a chest with food) is the "treasure room" at the end of the "Clockwise" level.

I just returned from another half-day of skiing. Absolutely arctic conditions here, not too cold but lots of snow, very heavy snowing continues round the clock, no skiing tracks whatsoever, I'm finished and can barely walk. All side roads (both in the countryside and in the town) are more or less cl...

This week has brought a lot of snow into our highland - more than we've seen for a couple of years, maybe for five years. It's damn cold, too (-12°C, 11AM), and more snow is forecasted, but now the sun is shining and it's a proper winter atmosphere we haven't seen here for years. :P I intend to go s...

Re: Greetings everybody!

What I love about games like DM is that they focus exclusively on the gameplay. Of course the graphics and the game-world are simple - but if you accept that as a necessary abstraction (in the same way as in books of film or music) you get completely sucked into the game and there's nothing standing...

Re: Popular characters... and their backstory.

Cool! Gothmog is kind of surprise to me - I can't remember taking him into any of my parties, maybe back in the old days. I wonder - what's so fantastic about him? Is he such a good wizard, or does he look so cool? Otherwise, my personal vote was more or less similar to the result.
