Re: ZeroBrane Studio and DSB

Ooops.

'ZeroBrane Studio.exe' is actually labeled zbstudio.exe

Sorry for that misprint.

ZeroBrane Studio and DSB

Zerobrane studio is a Lua IDE that I've been meaning to make launch DSB for a long time and I finally sat down to work it out today. So here we go. Open your DSB application directory Select all files and copy Download Zerobrane Studio Install it and navigate to the ZeroBrane Studio/bin directory Pa...

Re: DSB Version 0.36

How'd this sneak by me for a week? Tests great in emulation on the Mac. I actually ended up with a program that supports PCX so I can doodle on your map files. As a developer I'd like more freedom in monkeying around with DSB. Being able to bind more keys and especially to bind a key to restarting/r...

Okay, I think thats good, right?

Hope you have fun hacking, as much as I did with DSB!
Maybe make a new Dungeon Master while you are in there.

Re: iGame3D's uDeadGame

Ah really? Customize and Reverse eh? I had a thing for all that jazz, but on a deadline we decided not to mess with it, instead Tobi threw in new menus and bug fixes while I tested till my eyes bled. I'll have that on the list of things to get back in there. I can't play reverse controls, that total...

Re: iGame3D's uDeadGame

We'll have to do something about that.
But it takes me some real brain storms to accomplish things usually.

Shiny thing is actually what I found in DSB, I was so bored and out of inspiration and then

"oooh Dungeon Master...Lua...yea!"

Re: New Mac OS X port for Macintosh users!

Current available build runs on Intel OS X 10.4.11.
Its a PowerPC application built in Metroworks Codewarrior, which is long since discontinued.

It will need a move over to Xcode.

I'll ask around, I'm not savvy with that shizzle.

Re: Dungeon.lua hacking

iGame3D is an OpenGL game engine, with Lua scripting plus FLTK UI interface building via integrated murgaLua. Our website doesn't get updated much , guess I'll update it soon. I loathe updating web pages. Lots of old stuff there, most of our previous games were in our own scripting language before t...

Re: [DIFF] Quiver behaviour

OK, I never found any missile weapons worth using. Caused damage was usually too small compared to the time needed to look for, collect and put in the quiver/inventory thrown missiles. Seriously? Throwing things is how you level up ninja skill. If you throw EVERYTHING you find around the dungeon th...

The editor is going to end up looking better than the game it's editing. Well thats my 3D game engine, the editor was just a "lets see what I can do with your lua" thing expanding to "I wonder if I can make a 3D dungeon from this". So far so good. Does this mean I will h...

Yeah that is hairy. There's to be a list of whats in the level, select item in the list will select the square changing the button border. I kind of got distracted at 4AM turning the map into 3D...which is pretty much working with raw quads and cubes, now to hack to use textured walls and floors. Th...

Dungeon.lua hacking

[post modified, lua codes removed]
So I'm hacking the dungeon file and trying to figure out whats what.

I had posted lua code here, but that is getting really deep.
I'll post scripts and executable to download when I get to that point.

dsb_screen_bitmap()

how, when would you implement?
On the outset its sounds like "take screenshot" would
be the simple adaptation of this.

A perfect example of an action that could be bound
to a key in scripts. hint...hint..nudge..nudge
