Angels Egg - Pixie Prison
Does anyone know (remember) what the fine is you have to pay in the Pixie Prison. You have to throw an object though a doorway to open up the port cullis on the other side of the prison to get out. It is obviously a special object as each one of the objects that is no good appears the other side of ...

Re: Anyone Playing Vexirk Catacomb
Hi Duckman Can you keep the forum (me) abreast of your progress as I have reached a deadend on about the 4th or 5th level, where you need 2 coins to open up the doorways (this is not a spoiler). I think a new brain on the case may spot something that I have missed and of course if you need any help ...

Re: Running Java in Vista
Beowuuf Had the same problem when I used to install in under XP. If you try to run the install program for DMJ105 and you haven't got the correct version of Java then it automatically aborts. I would assume that Alandale put this trigger in to ensure that Java 1.4 was on the computer before users tr...

Re: Running Java in Vista
Think we are on the wrong lines here. The error actually occurs when running the DMJ105 setup file. When you run DMJ105 it extracts all the files to a specified file i.e c:\programfiles\DMJava, when it reaches a certain point in the install it looks for Java 1.4 on your computer. If its not there it...

Re: Running Java in Vista
Are we talking DMJ 1.6 or Java? If it is Java 1.6 will it work under Vista. If it is DMJ 1.6 where can I download it?

Re: Running Java in Vista
Further to my earlier emails I have just run DMJ105 and it states that it can't find Java 1.4. Herein lies the problem as Java for Vista starts at Version 6. So it seems unless DM Java is updated to use Version 6 in Vista then there is no way you can play it. Unless anyone knows any different of cou...

Re: Running Java in Vista
I want to run Dungeon Master Java under Vista. I did it in XP without any problems. I do have Java on Vista but when I run the Dungeon Master Java setup it fails to recognise its presence. I am running Java Version 6.

Re: Escape 3.0 - demo
I have now managed to get past the race track and have found the blue knight (or whatever you call him). He is the one where you step into the small room and you have to kill him to get the key to get out again. Boy is he fast and tough. Has anyone any hints for spells or weapons to defeat this thing.

Has anyone worked out an easy solution for the racetrack. I know that there is a lever you have to pull - trouble is trying to do it as you wizz by at 90mph.

No, I went through into another room apart from Rust In Peace. It had a fire in and I used a torch on it and it opened another passageway. Don't think I found much in this room - was I supposed to??

Re: Escape 3.0 - demo
I have a Topaz Key and a Winged Key. I need a second gold key for the port cullis type door near the large area of moving pits (just after you come out of the bit where it says "mind your back" but have run out of places to look. I have been across the maze of pits and got to the place whe...

the four rectangular switches near a steel door. Do you have to press these in a certain order to open that particular door. What am I actually looking for in the maze?

I am probably months behind everyone else but I am trying to do as many of the dungeons as I can. I am stuck in a few places in Surgical Strike: 1. Missing Spaces. Re: Reactor
Okay guys think I have cracked it. Open the original file in Wordpad. Then save as. Where it asks for the Save as Type use the drop down menu and save it as Text Document - MS-DOS Format and then save it as Reactor 2 or similar - that way you won't overwrite the origianl file. You should then be abl...

Re: Reactor
Its already a text file. I have tried reopening it in word and saving it again as a word text file but no joy. 3 of the Editors just close down immediately and the other just refuses to load it (as before). Can someone post a link to RTC V0.23 please.

Thanks Sophie. However. tried to load it into one of the RTC editors I have and it wouldn't load on any of them. I have versions 34, 37, 46 and 49. Re: Reactor
Jan I have been down the bottom then back up the top of this dungeon. It is not a case of just going down. You will find keys that were meant for doors you found on previous levels and you have to go back up to unlock. You will get lost time and time and time again. I have been playing this dungeon ...

Don't be so hard on yourself. This is a great dungeon which really tests your mental state. If you can play this game for an hour without becoming insane well........ How about making the text file available so that those who haven't managed to complete it can find our way around.

Re: [RTC] Dark Abyss
Well I took everyones advice and managed to overcome the dark problem. Still thanks once again Zed5Duke ...

Re: [RTC] Dark Abyss
Think there must be a flaw here which Zed should put right. If the magic dust doesn't give light then there must be some sort of flaw in the game.
