Skullstone

It's been awhile since I've posted here, but I saw this game pop up in my Steam recommendations and thought some of you would be interested. It's not out yet, but it looks worth keeping an eye on: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1693290/Skullstone/ http://skullstonegame.com/ It looks quite polish...

Man, these look awesome. The walls and the rightmost skeleton remind me a lot of the Japanese SNES version of the first Wizardry trilogy, and those games have great spritework so that's a compliment.

Re: So, tell us about yourself...

Tokyo? Wow. That is a big change. What kind of living accommodations do you have in Tokyo? When I was there (decades ago), rent was rather expensive relative to salary. Only the very rich had private homes. Sorry for the long response time. Yeah, it's a pretty big change and I was lucky to find a p...

Re: So, tell us about yourself...

Hey everyone, I seem to swing in once in awhile to say hi but I'm not very active these days. I joined a good 12-13 years ago on another account, Stryker or something lame like that. That was back when I was 15 I think, and I'm 28 now. At that time I was living in Victoria, BC, Canada before moving ...

Re: Legend of Grimrock 2

I finished it. There's an extra boss if you want to continue after getting the ending, provided you found the fifth orb. I loved the game immensely, I liked it even more than the first. I felt like the combat was improved because of the ways enemies would also try to kite you and hesitate to step in...

There are old-style firearms, yes. Flintlock pistols and the like.

Re: Legend of Grimrock 2

I finished it last night. It's an amazing game, and completely blew my already-high expectations away. My party was: Human Battle Mage (one of my two main casters, basically acted as a damage sponge/caster) Minotaur Barbarian (one of two main damage dealers, kind of low accuracy though) Ratling Alch...

Re: Shadowrun Returns

The latest one was an arena shooter. Think Quake. Not really what Shadowrun should be. It wasn't a bad game but it wasn't great, either. The Genesis and SNES versions were different, mainly action RPGs with more focus on story progression and stats as far as combat goes. Both good games but very dif...

I finished my first playthrough last night. Some spoilers ahead so read the following only if you're absolutely certain you've found every secret on at least level 10 and want to know something you may be able to find out for yourself with some mucking about. Also don't read the very last line unles...

Level 3.. the cast magic system is somewhat confusing at times but it's ok. Haven't found many puzzles in level 2, also been knocking at every walls to find secret rooms. I found some strange items like a skull, a calice.. but i don't know if they can be used. I also made two dreams in which someon...

Re: Steam -- oh my!

I'm not even a fan of Gamestop and EB as far as their used games go. They tend to offer FAR too little and charge WAY too much for their used stuff. On my downtime from school I work ina pawnshop that deals exclusively in games and movies. For something we sell for $20 we'd offer $12-15 for. We make...

I'll always miss those wonderful big boxes packed with an inch thick manual, maps and other goodies, but I can't deny the convenience of digital distribution. That said, I still fully prefer physical copies for all my non-PC gaming. I have a huge shelf of japanese RPGs from every system that's come ...

Re: Legend of Grimrock

My mom actually asked me "What's this Grimlock thing about?" because she saw me telling my brother on Facebook to check his inbox for his gift code I sent him.

What is Grimlock, is this an actual thing I'm not aware of or is this just a long-running, worldwide coincidence?

This looks very nice. I don't personally own anything that uses iOS, but I have quite a few friends that do. I'll be sure to mention this to the ones who may be interested.
