Re: Cool stuff you've found on the web
On the topic of Lego (which may help out Tom Hatfield's lego Dungeon if hes still around/working on it) is Lego Digital Designer a free download that lets you create almost any lego creation, you can also rotate your creation and view from different sides. I'm guessing you can save the images and us...

They may look small...I've set the size of them to be the same as the full screen for RTC (this may mean that no offset is needed, but may also make the click tab features work better)...I'll have another look at them, but hopefully they only look small because of the large empty space and scaling u...

Re: Custom Monster Design
I like all those ideas:
regenerating heads
generating multiple weaker monsters from severed heads
attach option from side on
so I need to make a smaller severed head, a few stumpy hydra images and some side on attack images...may take some time, but doable.

Re: Custom Monster Design
Just to explain a little further: I was hopping for, 1 strong monster, lets say starts with 2 heads, when it dies (in RTC) create new object on death 1 head +stump/blemish, and activated relay with delay swap global fast 1 head and stump to 3 heads...stronger monster... Although in RTC fire preventi...

Re: Editing... no RTC file produced :o(
1 = you must 'compile' the dungeon first. Open up the Config file, scroll right down to the bottom and Type: COMPILE (Tab) Modules/filename Thats if your txt file is in the modules folder, and note that the spaces between Compile and your file location is a tab. Check the help file that comes with R...

Re: How to use MONSTER_ATTRACTOR?
An attractor works based on monster view range: A Gazer will start to get attracted at 10 tiles away, where as a Mummy this will be 4 tiles and a Demon Thorn only 1 tile away. The monsters will attack you if you get in their way going towards it (but they will try and find another way), or if they a...

Re: KILL_MONSTER
Just made a test dungeon and yes does work that way, the monster that activates it is the one that is killed Problems occur when the monster is flying and you have set the trigger to operate only on the 'on', try changing this to the 'on and over'. Otherwise it could be the relay/relay chain that is...

The ship has been up for a while but I've only now tested the graphics in a dungeon. Added a Dungeon Time Mechanic to the Wiki. Clone Blue Haze DM2, replace Front0 image with something else. Small images tend to get tiled to fill the space.

Re: image unintentionly scrolls left and right
Sounds like something to look into...
might be able to use it to make non-interactive creatures passable: a flapping butterfly now moves across the screen, a marching rat, etc. Saves on the number of real images need.
But this is good to know.

image unintentionly scrolls left and right
Weird problem came up: I was testing my sail boat on a sea of void, but on viewing the boat the image scrolls/wobbles left and right like a film-strip. This would have been good if it was a slight wobble up and down like on water, but this was unintentional and no animation was involved. The images ...

Re: Placing an Object in the Character's Hand
I too thought that the only way to have a chest with specific items in it is to place a chest with the items already in it in the dungeon somewhere and then get that chest into the character's hand, but I was at a loss on how to do this either. One way would be to use a teleporter on the chest loca...

The red font matches better to the example ad, displayed/hangs off the balloon (which I also like), but the 'Free Quote' and 'Contact Me' may need to be the same red to stand out more, I missed them on my first scan of the page compared to the old page. Both look good.

Re: Intercepting Full Party Death with Mechanics?
I've been thinking of a type of training area where the party could get teleported in fight a/the monster or solve a clue and then teleport out on completion. Because it will be only for training area I don't want the party or character to actually die by the monster. I was thinking of using a count...

For a minute there I thought the thread got really popular.
Did you know, baby saliva has an antibacterial property for when they get to the teething stage and put everything into their mouth...lucky mine isn't at that stage yet, but she is big for a 2month old, big compared to local babies anyway.

Potato sprouts may be poisonous, but I wouldn't call them 'Fightin' Words', fighting words are more like hack, slash and thump, pow and biff come to mind also, No not potato sprouts.
[edited to make sense] But then again that's what you get from the shallow end of the gene pool.
