Re: Dungeon Master Playstation 3 Trailer!

When I first saw the trailer, I too was excited. Heck, even thought I don't have dsl for my xbox 360, with this supposed new DM game, I was ready and willing to put the money out just to play a new game; so bummer to hear it was a hoax. I for one, being an old DM player like the rest of you good fol...

Re: So, tell us about yourself...

I played Fallout 3 two times; the first, I played every single thing in the game, when I found areas to explore I totally explored them instead of marking them down for future exploration, I saved most of the main story for last, and dealt with NPC's etc like I was like Jesus, helping everyone in ne...

Re: Download Theron's Quest and DM Nexus here (and more)

Ah, I see... a combo of buttons on the SNES. Hmm, not gonna happen on the PC, at least, I wouldn't be able to adapt to such an extreme of button pushes... while mummies and poisonous thingies are attacking me, while I'm trying to manipulate a "series" of button click to simply move/ Yikes!...

Re: Download Theron's Quest and DM Nexus here (and more)

thanks for the pointer, Gambit37. i see what you mean, it DOES snap around over the movement arrows (which is still clunky as all heck for actual movement in the dungeon), but when you need to pick up an item in the viewer, it doesn't snap around. the main thing for me is... (and again, I never play...

Re: Download Theron's Quest and DM Nexus here (and more)

Yeah, I noticed the keyboard mapping thingy, and I HAVE been trying to remap the keys, but it doesn't seem to be working for me... obviously a user error  :?: But I just don't understand it... I mean, the up arrow is set for the up arrow, but it doesn't MOVE me forward, it simply moves the hand...

Re: So, tell us about yourself...

I found there was more to do in Morrowind than Oblivion. You can join and complete more guilds with less repercussions. In Oblivion you have to worry about imfamy as well as fame, and if you have even one infamy point, you can't complete some quest or other (think it's part of the Knights of the Ni...

Re: Download Theron's Quest and DM Nexus here (and more)

Christophe, again, thanks for your help! Much appreciated. I tried as best as I could to adapt to the keyboard, but, man am I having problems - let me explain (please don't, ha!) - I use the up/down/left/right arrows on my laptop, but those simply move the hand cursor over the directional arrows in ...

Re: Download Theron's Quest and DM Nexus here (and more)

Hi, I need help (cuz I'm apparently a lunkhead or something...;) getting TQ to run on my pc. I downloaded the TQ.rar file from the DM Encyclopedia website, and unzipped it with Z-Zip, but I'm not sure what to do next. I tried dbl-clicked the oggdec.exe file, but a quick mini-dos window opens and clo...

Re: So, tell us about yourself...

Yep, I have the GotY edition of both Morrowind and Oblivion. Shivering Isles was pretty cool...I love the butterfly thing when you first enter Sheogorath's realm, just after you meet Haskill for the first time. And the final battle in the Oblivion main quest was pretty cool too. I stil prefer Morro...

Re: So, tell us about yourself...

I don't think Beholders are vulnerable at any particular point. They just open their big eye when they attack. The open-eye thing is certainly not a theory I've come across, anyway. But they are bastards, though :P. I think you guys are right... it just seemed that my hits with melee weapons did mo...

Re: So, tell us about yourself...

Also, if you don't use the kebaord for movement (and the mouse for everything else), I recommend doing so, at least for that puzzle. Then as Wuffy said, it's just a matter of making sure no-one's in the yellow. I normally make it through with one donk on the head. Actually, I ended up reading throu...

Re: So, tell us about yourself...

Welcome to the forums Stewart /tzoneman! To one of your questions, if you reincarnate your characters instead of ressurecting them, they start off without their levels, but you can rename them. For DM it is the bett5er option as you can levle up fast and get more stats. For CSB, the rules are diffe...

Re: So, tell us about yourself...

if you play the RTC version of DM you are forced into character knowledge for spells as you can only cast the runes you have read. So it's more important to find the scrolls in this case in order to college magic runes and cast them into the book. It was a way to keep the experts honest.. since man...

Re: So, tell us about yourself...

Thanks for your good welcome. Again, this is so cool that people still have an interest in DM. Ok, so last night I downloaded RTC, and was playing DM and CSB for a bit; just seeing the opening screen (somewhat altered in place of the FTL) made me smile, and opening the first door and choosing my cha...

Re: So, tell us about yourself...

Well hello! To preface my first post here, I would like to just say "WOW!" I am completely blown away that the good old Dungeon Master game has a fan following! This is awesome! My name is Stewart, but in the cyberworld I'm known as tzoneman (creator of The Twilight Zone Archives - a non-p...
