Well, maybe i got frustrated because of the difficulty and didn't give proper justice to the game. I still got my saved games with my team from DM (thanks to the help of fellow members of this forum!). So for now, it's just on hold and waiting.

How anyone managed to beat CSB is beyond me. Congratulations to everyone that did it! I started CSB right after i completed DM and i was frustrated by the level design so i gave up. I had high expectations but i felt no fun playing the game, unlike DM. I remember i am stuck to a place near the start...

Oh, i see. I meant that in DM there are no save slots, just once and everytime you save you delete the old one. Of course you can keep backups by minimizing the game window. I remember i kept 53 saves this way in DM.

All 4 save slots work normally or the save system is like DM, 1 save rewriting the previous one? I'll start playing it in a few days so i don't have time to test this now.

I will consult the hint oracle and try to map in detail, i know it will take a long time till i finish this. But i will keep some maps in case they become much needed. I was confused enough in DM, so i think this is the right thing to do.

Sorry guys, i am not an expert in certain things related to pc, but in the dmweb page i don't see any CSBuild, only versions of CSBwin. Can you help me as where to find CSBuild?

I extracted the files from Clone-CSBwin-PC-ChaosStrikesBack-100 into a folder and i copied inside the dmsave.dat file. Then i clicked on .exe file, then File and i see only the exit option. When things like this happen i tend to never give up so i am willing to give it another shot.

I had followed the instructions of beowuuf but i couldn't do it. I tried again but when i click on File, there is only one option: exit. I have the right version of CSB, i don't know why it doesn't work as it should.

I used DM PC save file, it was the last save of many saves i have. Is it easy to resave them?

I was searching moddb and i stumbled upon an interesting mod for DM, so i wanted to let you know in case someone is interested. This is the link http://www.moddb.com/mods/escape-from-necropolis. I am tracking it, it seems like it could be fun even if it combines Fallout with DM.

oh_brother thanks for the info, i remember trying and not making it, i will try this solution and i hope it works. If not, it's ok. I still haven't tried to end CSB after DM but i didn't forget about it, it's like unsettled business

Oh, then it makes sense. That must be the amiga version, it looks identical with the pc version.

I was away for a week and i finally finished the game :) It's never too late, right? Oh, i see, well i think i might use the "import" option. I saw in dmweb that Wu Tse has a "steal" skill but i don't see an option in the actual game.

I use dosboc 0.72 and i was playing with the mouse, then i practiced with the numpad and it's very easy, it just takes some time to get used to. But when a battle occurs, i use only mouse. I didn't try dosbox 0.74 yet.

I have Rick's walkthrough and maps and they are helpful, i just couldn't remember backtracking near the fountains and looking for the hidden wall. The only thing that bothers me on this game is that i easily get lost without maps but i think i'll try CSB, especially if i transfer my champions from D...

I have managed to do it mates! My problem was in the water fountains where you move backwards and you pass to the other side of the wall and you read "when rock is not rock". I wasn't moving backwards there and i was ending up at the same place. I am one level away from the firestaff level...

I have maps and i think it's time to use them. The above link is more helpful because these maps you provide are more detailed than these i have. I am exactly at the fireball room of the 8 level according to the dmweb site maps and i will try to find stairs up. Thanks again!
