Hi !
I'm delighted to see that some new dungeons are being created with DSB/ESB ! I really had a great time with this engine, although it,'s been a while since I created anything with it.
I'm looking forward to try your dungeon, whenever I have the time. Soon, hopefully!

Re: [DSB] Unintended Heroism
Thanks a lot for the review, Trantor. Such involvement is, again, heartwarming. I also see that you made the effort to work on your dungeon, I'll try it, whenever I can get some free time ! I know how hard it is to re-work on old things (i'd have to learn again a lot of things, to do that for my dun...

"les grands esprits se rencontrent", as we say in my homeland ; i'll now have to give a try to your Doom Blade ! Is it a RTC dungeon ? Off-topic : I was quite "disappointed", when I released UH, to see that only a few players even gave it a try. Jan and The master were brave enou...

Re: [DSB] Unintended Heroism
Thanks again for the feedback. It seems that some endgame parts are very much confusing for most players . I promise, someday, i'll make it more intuitive, add hints , rebalance the whole thing. The first half of the dungeon globally had good feedbacks, which isn't the case of the second half. I'll ...

Re: [DSB] Unintended Heroism
Hello ! I'm glad to see some people are still playing the dungeon ; When I made it, I spent, well, 16/24h everydays for a few weeks, and nearly never modified it again, apart for some critical debugging/rebalancing issues. I'd have loved to be more patient, and provide a better experience. Moreover,...

Re: Sundog frozen legacy
I played the above mentionned "FTL", for several weeks now ; as Gambit said, it has enough online reviews, I'll make it short : I enjoyed the game ; at first, mostly because of the "nostalgic" feeling it has (I especially loved the ambient music). I barely played SunDog, so I can...

Re: [DSB] Unintended Heroism
I think that after the first few levels you should need magic light, though I may have forgotten turning the lights off on some levels , that always happens to me in real life :) . For the "final boss", it's not intended to be hard (anyway, everything is a piece of cake from the moment you...

Re: [DSB] Unintended Heroism
True ; well that was not really an "idea", rather a lack of time/investment ; the dungeon is sadly not as polished as I wished it would be :/ . Although it's still good to have details about what was particulary annoying, thanks ! (hope you were not too much disappointed, the wizard pass w...

Re: [DSB] Unintended Heroism
True ! When soloing, it may be hard to wear heavy armor, especially because of chests. Though : remember the gentle dragon of the first levels ? It's quite early to be able to kill it "like a man", but luring him into the oh ven clouds works nice ! you can trigger the oh ven launcher anyti...

dress like a "guard" (well actually, just carrying each items will do it ...) Ummm.... I don't think I understand. I mean the Eye at the "Guards Barracks" a few squares from the alcove (with the Master Key I think) where I was "sandwiched" by the Two Stone Golems. Coul...

Re: [DSB] Unintended Heroism
One question. What do I have to show to the Eye to open the Guard Barracks (I guess there's nothing important there)? You just have to dress like a "guard" (well actually, just carrying each items will do it ...) . If you mean the "guard captain quarters", you can open it by eit...

Re: [DSB] Unintended Heroism
Thanks a lot for the offer ! That was something I was badly missing for this dungeon, but, being "new" on these forums, I thought that asking so would have been inappropriate. I'll PM you for sure when I start the next dungeon .

Finished. But Sasha could I have my 200 gold pieces now please. Congratulations ! :D You deserved the gold coins well . Re: [DSB] Unintended Heroism
IMHO the fights are very nicely balanced, even in the "mana draining room" and in the "worst nightmare" part - it's hard, very hard, but still doable. In many cases, it's - to quote the Duke of Wellington after tha battle of Waterloo - "a damn close run thing", but sti...

Re: [DSB] Unintended Heroism
I made some changes, everything should be okay now (well most of the things) . -Difficulty reduced at some parts of the game: (less antmen in the mana draining room, less monsters in the demonic stone levels, the "golem trap" is just one golem instead of two :) ) -Texts, speeches more read...

Re: [DSB] Unintended Heroism
Anyway, I have some free time today , i'll debug and rebalance the whole (in the actual version, the screamer edge, the room of subtle happiness, and the "spell row" should be fixed. I'll take some time to make the "nebula history" more readable, i'll rebalance the "demonic ...

Alright, now I see why there's a need for the Eye of Time ! I think I'm on the very edge of my own sanity. Doesn't it matter, Sasha, that I'd only opened two Key of B doors and then cast the spell and went the "hard way" (*)? I don't want to be trapped in this place or s...

Re: [DSB] Unintended Heroism
Anyway, looking back I know that I'm playing too fast, not paying much attention to details and hints, but I feel that the player is left here a little bit "in the mist". It's quite hard, I think, to figure out how to: - create the "Nebula" - cast the right spell - where was it ...

Re: [DSB] Unintended Heroism
I'll make a quick walktrough of chapter 3 to make it easier : 1)you open the winged keys door, get the panacea, with a scroll which gives hints about what spell is meant to be cast to use it : vi bro ra . 2)downstairs, with the appropriate number of gor coins, you can access the astral forge. There ...

Re: [DSB] Unintended Heroism
If you throw things into the haze they become "unreachable" because you cannot enter the haze - a way to get stuck I'm afraid. The library should have hinted you, but as you hadn't the time to read it ... (the haze - forge needs a lightning bolt to be activated) The panacea spell i...

Re: [DSB] Unintended Heroism
PS :

Consuming the panacea to get the demonic stone is probably not a good idea if you had enough gor coins. Your objective yet is to use the forge, and open all the key of b doors.

Re: [DSB] Unintended Heroism
Two unexplained messages are there, they're the key perhaps, but I can't find their meaning - "Fresh Water - Friendship..." and "Reverse spell..." These are hints for using the panacea. think of the meaning of each rune. you got to hold the panacea in hand. The reverse spell is ...
