Re: RTC.exe that skips intro
This is handy. It's also problematic, because it's almost certainly a copyright violation to distribute a modified RTC.exe like this. While it may seem somewhat hypocritical to care about such matters given the nature of RTC (and DM clones in general) RTC's code is an original work, so the standard...

RTC.exe that skips intro
Hi all. Having great fondness for this game (and all dungeon crawlers, really) I've always found RTC to be a fine piece of software. While it only emulates the original game mechanics, I found appealing that it does this very well, it merges all DM games into a single one and it enables lots of cool...

Re: Worst Company in America
And its your attitude of "why bother" that makes companies like EA think their behavior is ok. For every person who cares enough to say "I'm not gonna stand for this", is a person that makes a difference. And for someone like me who spends probably a total of 200+ dollars a *mon...

Why bother? People are going to buy their games anyway.

Re: Worst Company in America
I'm surprised that no one mentioned yet that Origin is basically a Trojan horse that scans all files in your system. They say that its looking for other EA games that you might have pirated.
Also, EA likes to insert unskippable credits intros into their games.

Re: Legend of Grimrock
I haven't had any problem with any of the timing puzzles. They all have a pattern and once you learn it you can completely ignore what is happening in the game and just keep pressing the keys. The party movement gives you enough time to prepare for next key press. My father however couldn't complete...

Re: Cool stuff you've found on the web
The Quake vid speaks the truth but its counter argument is done incorrectly. It's just one mess of speed run scenes that just confuse people who are unaware of how the game was really like. It's one way to play it but I wouldn't put "rocket jumping" and "single player experience"...

Re: Releasing RTC source code / future of RTC.
Zalewa_PL? Dammit, I totally forgot about that account. So I have 3 on these forums now. Let me elaborate on why I used word "lie" here: It's either this or poor resource loading routines which are very slow. So he is/has been either a bad programmer or a liar who simply wanted an excuse t...

Re: Releasing RTC source code / future of RTC.
I've been wondering if the source code was finally released for this engine, mainly because I wanted to remove these annoying startup animations, and did a quick Google search which took me to this thread. All I have to say is this: Maybe GG doesn't want to release the source because then it would b...
