Re: The Chronicle of the Five Stones - An adventurous design

PS -- Be aware (pertaining to the scope of your dungeon) that RTC has an object limit of 20,000 (a fact i recently found out to my cost). I've been holding back in the wings because of an overly ambitious and meticulously planned dungeon, in conjunction with learning of the fact of 20,000 object li...

Re: RTC monster AI and NPC

Have been testing the latest release from the great Mr. C.Shaman, and can report that the Monster AI and NPC development is going from strength to strength. This is spectacular stuff for RTC. Now available is better NPC interaction in terms of mechanics and options, better features such as merchants...

I could say:

"Christ, Boy, what the hell did you eat??"

But in the interests of keeping this more in the original intention of this topic, I should say:

"I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe... "

Do these choices completely eliminate all pollution? No, of course not, but they do reduce it significantly. Do we need to completely eliminate all pollution from our activities? No. We only need to eliminate enough to get our levels of pollution back below the environment's capability of handling ...

Re: INN OF LOST SOULS: general chit-chat thread

Very true SU. I kept away from that extra detail to keep it simple. You'd need a super sensitive listening capability to detect sound in space which as you say is never really a 'true' vacuum.

Re: INN OF LOST SOULS: general chit-chat thread

The vibrating air can impart a force into an object, but only if the object is within the medium of air molecules. The air molecules hit the object and impart the kinetic energy into it. But in a vacuum there is no air, therefore there is nothing for this kinetic energy to propagate through. So yes,...

Re: INN OF LOST SOULS: general chit-chat thread

I had always understood sound cannot exist in a vacuum. A sound wave is like a wave in water. The energy of the wave is created by a force, say a vibrating surface, pushing or displacing the medium the object exists in, either air, or water. If the medium runs out, this displaced energy has nothing ...

Re: RTC in a Text Editor

Hey Gambit, yes I thoroughly investigated the great DSB. Awesome piece of software. Ultimately it comes down to attempting a full graphics replacement project, which coupled with my slightly more visual approach, is better done in rtc. I love dsb, I think it's awesome. But with multiple wallsets and...

Hey SU, thanks, yeah I'd seen that, but couldn't make it work. I can only seem to fold the first part of the text, not fold text successively. not sure what I'm doing wrong. Re: RTC in a Text Editor

Hey Terkio and Linflas, a question for you: in notepad++, I want to make the recurring level entry line ; Level become a foldable part of the code.
