Well, replaying and finishing all 3 original games after awhile, and losing nostalgia factor for DM1 (or at least having the same nostalgia for DM2 as DM1), and having no more weird expectation that it should be more, I can say with certainty that for me, DM2 is better than DM1. Not too important, but Screamer's attack speed is at least 3 times slower than DM PC (they are slow-moving but very fast while attacking).
