Okay, I figured out where I went wrong in the Dragon Shrine. I entered the area from the meditation chamber side by climbing down the pit which gets you 100% trapped. Hey Saumun. That sounds like the exact same spot. There was a row of 3 or 4 pits and an alcove above.
