It is usually not easy to actually read scanned pages (especially printed scanned pages). I prefer pure text. I don't have a scanner within my reach at the moment.

As far as I have seen, no one has been able to get sound with the PCI based SoundBlasters in Dungeon Master. You could try one of the PC emulators that also includes original ISA SoundBlaster emulation, and run DM through them. I think that will be the way to play old games in the future, just as we...

If everything is set up correctly, you will enjoy the games on an Amiga emulator just fine as if you played them in DOS. You also get stereo sound in the Amiga versions.

I think DMute is cheating and should not be allowed.

Great explanation, but another problem is that many new computers and motherboards don't have any ISA slots. It is still possible to get motherboards today with ISA but they are fading away.

I will try again this week. I only have the US version.

Do you run it in Windows or DOS?

You will never get good sound in DM if you run it in Windows.

I suggest that you make a DOS boot disk ...

When you run in DOS, boot without any config.sys and autoexec.bat.
Then load your mouse driver, I guess it is mouse.com or lmouse.com ?
