Excellent IAN, saved me some time looking for it on my cd's. I've managed to sort thru half of them. So it was a good thing.

Was Black Crypt ever released for the PC platform? I loved it on the Amiga. I wouldnt mind playing it again on the PC. ...and not with an emulator.

I'm with you Gambit on this. After playing DM on the amiga and other RPG's, BloodWhych looked kinda punny. But like you said, perhaps we're missing the whole picture.

I have this link to a site where you can find all AbandonWare and Classis games legaly. Some of these games are rare and very good indeed. (DungeonMaster included)

I was able to build a 486dx4-100 with 16 megs, sound blaster pro, ATI mach-32, 2x speed cd-rom and 1 gig HD from my spare parts. :-) The only thing i had to buy was the 3.5" floppy drive. Now i'm able to play all the old dos games. That includes DM1 and DM2. Infact im playing DM2 right now. Ama...

Here is something that may help you to get sound with DM in dos... If you got the latest drivers downloaded and installed for your sound card then it isnt your drivers. The SB16 emulation of the Sound Blaster Live! and various other newer soundcards in DOSMODE requires your motherboard to support NM...

Nobody here talking about Dungeon Master 2.(legend of skullkeep) Is it because it uses a totaly new engine and DMUTE don't work with it? I loved that game on the PC. Hated the ending. How unfortunate. CSB was a little more complex. I liked it better then DM. I even liked the char editor where you could change your chars faces. Oh well.

Sound Blaster Live! Works well as long as you have the dos drivers installed. These drivers readily available from the Sound Blaster Live! site.

I'm playing from Windows 98 and got all the sounds.
