Re: [RTC] The Trail (Full - Parts 1 & 2)

I may have stumbled across something bad once more. ;) You can push two table tops onto the same square but they don't come apart again after you did that... I was on one of my "scout runs" so no worries about that. First I have to find out how to reach that spot again. I was treatin...

Re: "Extra Weight" Bug in SNES Version of Dungeon Master.

Can it be "overwritten"? If so, you could at least not carry a phantom chest with you but reduce ut to something lightweight or even back to Zero once you find that Corbamite.

Re: [RTC] The Trail (Full - Parts 1 & 2)

Finally at the tower top. :)
Spoiler
But it seems now I am trapped behind that black door (the one with the pressure pad and the YA OH FUL ZO scroll in front of it. Is there a way to open it from the inside or will I have to restart? Wouldn't be too bad, as I have a save from not too far earlier.

Ah well, can't believe I missed that.
Spoiler
I thought I tried to hold it in hand but obviously it was something else, probably the OH flask. So on it goes. :)

Re: [RTC] The Trail (Full - Parts 1 & 2)

Whoo, those tower levels almost got me to quit as I hate performing under pressure and with no idea what I have to do at that... But I got the YA key and the OH key though the latter won't fit where I expected it to. After some tries at the ghost level and no idea what I had to do (even managed to k...

Re: New player: How to use the interface better

Right mouse click, then click the disc-symbol. The game pauses, you can draw your map. Continue. :) Just hitting 'Esc' will do the same trick. And I prefer mapping even now when practically all of the maps can be found on the web. It tends to be tedious, but some spots I never find looking at a com...

Re: [RTC] The Trail (Full - Parts 1 & 2)

That loan system sounds cool. Sometimes it seems you could almost build another game out of all the parts you decided/had to discard. As for that cave: I had another peek and it seems that after your hint, I was on the right track but got thrown off because it felt like killing those guys with magic...

Re: [RTC] The Trail (Full - Parts 1 & 2)

Yeah well, I figured that, but: I seem to have a knack of always choosing the wrong one. :D Tried it in bursts of five runs of betting always on the same one (and yes I know: statistically, five is about nothing) and won once with the two favourite ones, respectively and nothing with the one having ...

Re: [RTC] The Trail (Full - Parts 1 & 2)

So, Part 2... As I mentioned in the PM, got stuck in the same spot as Leslie did and peeked at the corresponding spoilers. After that, I had a lot of exploring to do but it seems I'm once more at an impasse on all fronts. So here's what I achieved so far: As recommended, got myself a bank account. F...

Re: [RTC] The Trail (Full - Parts 1 & 2)

So OK... still missing are as predicted, the RaSar Plate, then the Phantom and the Sun Staff. Cool game so far. Of course there are sections that seemed more tedious to me, but I'm sure those are exactly the ones that others enjoy most. :) One more remark concerning that keep room: I guess you have ...

Re: [RTC] The Trail (Full - Parts 1 & 2)

Did the parts after the keep on my own, that is I saved before entering the docks and will have to wait anyway since I have to sell my black market things and probably most of the other stuff as well since I won't be coming back, I guess. Found 27 secrets, so I missed 3, one of them being the RaSar ...

I consulted that file when I unpacked the game but never thought about afterwards. But it seems I'm at a loss again: I got that urn, or to be precise: the ashes from inside and that he will rise in flames again. I guess that refers to the last room of the keep as it has those ominous holes in ...

OMG, it was even more evil. That was a hard nut to crack. Afterwards I even got the right one immediately, though I'm not entirely sure what I did there. I'll go checking the DM wiki on that aspect.

Edit: Ah OK, forgot about that part, it's been a while that I've played DM.

Whoa, that's evil. :D Actually, I may have almost stumbled across it in the beginning, when I still tried both directions similar because I didn't know which referred to what. Nope, I'm talking about Witcher III which is almost bought by now. ;) Just got my first Steam-moneycard or whatever they're called (know them from Nintendo, so I expect noc problems there). Now I only have to find the right steps to get that money on Steam and then further on to that Polish company....

Re: [RTC] The Trail (Full - Parts 1 & 2)

OK, that's basically what I did. Rechecked and found out I got two letters wrong due to that font (read the V for a U and the Q for a G), but even that didn't help. So, having a bit of programming experience, I tried it with brute force. With that kind of code it shouldn't matter if you can figure o...

Re: [RTC] The Trail (Full - Parts 1 & 2)

OK, it seems I'm at a loss. I tried exchanging the letters by a constant scale, and by using just the first line to check all 25 possible movements it doesn't seem I can get any readable text out of it, even if I consider that the vowels may have a different scale. (Not as much work as it may sound,...

Re: So, tell us about yourself...

Haha, that's about the same as it went with me and Witcher II. It does have a tutorial, but afterwards I could not even remember how to brew potions. :D And I never could get into a gaming flow. The "cutscenes" are great, but it feels watching a movie with cutscenes of gaming. But so...

I considered both possibilities, but could not make anything out of it yet. But I don't have much time to play at the moment anyway, so I'll have that riddle lying around here and look at it during spare moments. And I still got that area six feet under to explore, so no worries. ;)

Yay, I've got a friend. Currently thinking about Witcher III, which is in sale till June 1st. I'm not good with that relatively new "consequence" thingy and with W2 I couldn't even master the controls, but apart from that it should be a cool game. Well, I still have 5 days to mus...

Regarding that sun:
Spoiler
Have to be a real arse first and thank those priests for all they did for me. The sun changes its colors after and then its no problem to get it off. What do I learn from that? Sometimes its best to wait before asking. ;)
