Re: Just checking in

Hey, good to see you here again Paul. I hope you're doing well. Some things don't leave us do they? I think we'll still be doing things with this old game right up until the end! I'm still tinkering with various DM related things, perhaps one day I'll finally release something! Though I suspect you'...

Re: Game boxes in 3D

Very nice! I did a static version in CSS a few years back but it was very simple by comparison. This version is much better. Nice find!

I can't check any of my notes right now, but from memory, dsb-textformat is only used to format the text on the message area below the viewport.

Re: DSB Version 0.81

Amazing! Thank you for this unexpected new year gift. Coincidental for me too as after a year of messing aorund with Quake modding, I've decided to come back to my DM Redux project and finish that, so this DSB update is timely.

DSB doesn't implement Lua's file functions so you can't do that unfortunately.

Re: Gg never came back, did he?

I had a v0.50 somewhere. It fixed a few bugs but didn't increase any limits if I recall. Don't ask me to look for it, if I have it anywhere it's probably on a degraded DVDR somewhere in the attic and therefore unusable.

Out of interest Christophe, did you study Japanese and translate this yourself? Or was it machine assisted?

This is incredible! I can't imagine how long this must have taken. I have no free time to try it out at present, but I hope to one day be able to play this in English and finally fully understand it! Thank you, what a gift :)

I recall there was a weird hack where it's possible to open . RTC files in the editor, but I don't think they can be saved back out as .TXT files.

Re: Game crashes when too many items are generated in the game

Ah that's a shame. No-one here has the source code to RTC so it's not possible to make any changes to fix that bug unfortunately. The original author of RTC stopped working on it 15 years ago. I think the best you could do would be start the game again and try and minimise the amount of actions you ...

Re: Surgical Strike *Spoilers*

OK, agreed. I was just expressing surprise that you were trying to match the front of the box when there is a screenshot on the back. I guess I didn't think you'd try to match the front image, because the lost corridor doesn't match the location on the front of the box. This was a puzzle created for...

This corridor also exists somewhere else, somewhere outside of the game. Where does it exist...? You might need to know some Dungeon Master history to answer this. Perhaps go looking elsewhere...
