Re: Grate in side room of fireball area
I somewhere read that the static of level eight would make no sense -too much empty space there, the whole level would crash/collapse. Maybe they built this door as a means to support the ceiling ;) As a sidenote, it could help to orientate or be some malicious obstacle for the party, because ghosts...

Re: Dungeon Dwellers
I just wondered: if a player encounters enemies, how can she tell how many there will be coming? In a worst case scenario, you build a complicated contraption for 4-5hours ;) and 14 critters attack.. could be that enemies are unlimited? briefing at level start? counter counting down scout unit? hope...

Re: CSB Dungeon Differences when using DSB
I just want to add that I very much liked the crowded place( worms everywhere 15-20 pairs?) Had a real strong party(imported dm-->csb) so around second to forth master level everything with 4 party members. I guess it is an incentive or challenge for high end party and end game. So maybe unsuited fo...

I guess this issue is yet to be put on the csb dm encyclopedia, if you want/can update that info at all in the near future. I would appreciate it, but it is okay if there are reasons contraire it

Re: Character strings have no representation for Neophyte le
well, at least the mystery is now solved why champions can get access to some actions before gaining an actual level - the prerequisite for that very action. or so I think. (example :: access to the melee-action before gaining the fighter level that would provide the champion with "melee" ...

Power Tips to collect chaos strikes back Atari ST Choosing champions is of utmost importance: After all, you drag this party for duration of all the game around with you. Scan of german "CSB Champions Power Tipps"
Hi there, I found this recently, and I thought to scan it in. Maybe sth. for the encyclopedia? It is rather small. This scan is a Power Tipp(translates as clues), from Power Play magazine. I don´t know what year, unfortunately. Since you could rip those tipps out of the magazine and I don´t have the...

Re: Creative Projects for Pleasure & Profit
Hi, you can also watch the intro of CSB for Amiga. There is the Mount Anais depicted alongside the Army of Chaos with a bit of scenery. Or the ending screen of Dungeon Master, where you can take a look at the village. The Video of DM2 is kind of from another period in time (both real and ingame), al...

there is always the search option, but its not the best? I could be wrong, but I do not think that noobs or newbies of DSB will bother with bug reports so much. Sophia also responds and tackles any arising issues as fast as light (or FTL ;) ) Arguably, 2 similar and simultaneously posted bug report ...

Re: Dungeon Dwellers
Rasmus, maybe it would be an idea to start with a GDD/ game design document? When explaining, try starting with simplest first and all that is needed to play the game. Always try to ask yourself: Is this Element needed? why? Can it be done with the existing ones? does it make the game in total more ...

Re: Suggestion: More than 3 attack methods
what do you want to accomplish? I can envision some "scope" on the weapon table lets say a sword has a table with 3 actions if fighter =LV"enough" display all 3 actions of that table lets say a sword has a table with 5 actions first, display all 3 actions (1,2,3) as normal. if du...

Re: Bug: Monsters can be heard too far away
If I recall correctly, there is an awareness stat of monsters,no? Some value that determines, whether the monsters do notice the party. I also think there are two of these? (sth along the lines of see , tremorsense/feel and hear champions) to the point : use that awareness concept and tie that to th...

yeah, the concept should be clear what is the objective how come heroes walk into your dungeon because of gold?! You could place an illusion of some artifact in your dungeon. Heroes will steal the fake one and that way you win. one Problem: what does it yield if you defeat some heroes walking in? ju...

I would not substitute wood for some other resource. If you would like to have wood in this DK game, go for it.
