Re: Race to Fusion

I managed a modest solo run of 33.8 mins! Nice, that didn't take long! I haven't started trying any solo runs, but I think I'll give it a go. I need to try and decide on speed settings as seems to run quick on my new computer but might just be imagining it. I felt it was faster on my PC with Extra ...

Re: "Choose your door"

On level 9 (ie the Scorpion level) you can indeed clear out both areas behind the 'Choose your door' options. Each area has a monster that carries a further Key of B which is intended to be used at 30,22 (both areas funnel to this spot, though each area has a pressure plate and door first so you can...

Re: Race to Fusion

I managed a modest solo run of 33.8 mins! Tried the Chambers of the Guardian - I'm still undecided on this route. Possibly is slightly quicker if you get some good blows on the rockpile. Was fun to do it again, I need to try and decide on speed settings as seems to run quick on my new computer but m...

Re: Race to Fusion

Thanks for the analysis and thoughts! I wouldn't be too surprised if you find yourself having a go, especially if you have ideas up your sleeve, which it seems like you do! I think you know the dungeon a lot better than me overall. I only started trying when I thought using an altar of vi and thoug...

Re: Race to Fusion

Just watched it through, a cunning mix of skill and tactics. And I have to say, quite a bit of bad luck with monster positions, but I'll come back to that. My thoughts before I pressed play were that there were definite improvements that could be made on my time with simple moving efficiency - more ...

Re: Race to Fusion

Well. Talk about rusty! About as sharp as a falchion. Amazing how much you forget, like the key sequences right at the start!

I think I have a rather elegant solution to the worms... Time to investigate.

Re: Race to Fusion

This is really interesting stuff, itching to see the video! I remember I got very lucky with the worms and saved a big chunk of time. I think my reasoning for taking Stamm was his stamina drains curiously slowly and that I'd save on sleep. That said, he needed training for the mana so is offset by t...

DM Android

This is easy to miss as is in the Java section:

I've been playing this on my Android phone and am impressed. Needs work though. You can find out easily enough in The Google Play store for free.

Try the CSBWin alternate goal of collecting every object and killing
every monster. Then you can be called an expert.
Intriguing. I shall give this a go.

Re: Characters You Have Never Used

The Elven boots increase carrying capacity (they don't increase your strength though). Armour does have an effect, though seemingly small. Items have base figure, and a sharp resistance figure. More can be found here: http://dmweb.free.fr/?q=node/259 Other items have interesting characteristics. The...

Re: Characters You Have Never Used

Anyway, getting back to the characters ;-). When people first play the game they had reasons to pick who they did. I imagine these range from "I like the look of he/she/it" to "I have a beard, I am going for wizards". Or maybe you took the ones with most mana or hp; or if you re ...

Re: Characters You Have Never Used

I honestly didn't see much difference between "thrust" and "melee" in terms of damage or recovery. The saber and the rapier were about equal, but the axe seemed to do a bit more damage and you could chop before you could melee if you're working on getting started with fighter le...

Re: Characters You Have Never Used

If you 'war cry' with the zero mana characters, they soon gain a priest level. I find Stamm to be the best character regarding stamina drain, though not entirely sure why this is.

Re: [RTC] Parallel Universe

Thank you for the comments, much appreciated! I'll have to have a good look at the editor and my maps, and replay some of the raised points. Accidentally throwing items away is something that crops up in many dungeons, though I do recall that in the lava area there was a mechanism where they were te...

Re: Characters You Have Never Used

Probably used them all over the years at some point, but there are some I generally never use. Wu Tse, Boris, Tiggy - rarely Darou, Nabi and Wuuf. I tend to only take one or two characters and the primary character is usually Stamm, Leif or Sonja - including in many custom dungeons. Though Azizi is ...

Re: Question regarding preference

EotB 3 went overboard - one click, all weapons attack. I like the delicacy of the DM system, and discovery - ie the stab of the DIamond Edge (original - RTC version unintentionally reduces this attack power)
