Re: Can i collect 4 corbums before going to Ful Ya?

I've believe it's at 33,22, you get there from the KU side.

Good luck!

PS if you're playing RTC I'm not sure if it's there or not.

Re: Did some puzzles only get figured out by datamining?

Ah that was it, you can get the Ruby key without using the Winged key, but you still have to at least pick it up. But having another look, it seems there are four 6ths of a second before the pit at (05)07,19 closes when the button at (05)28,18 is pressed, and you need to cover 4 steps to cross the p...

Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

Thanks Paul, the engine has been working fine, haven't encountered any other issues.

And thanks Zyx, still enjoying playing Conflux after all this time!

I don't think I'd gotten up to any red scorpions yet, but I'll watch out for the bug.

Re: Did some puzzles only get figured out by datamining?

I never knew there was a hint to that "Vexing vexirk" in the hint oracle, interesting! I had certainly never solved until I saw Paul do it on one of his speed runs and I had no idea what had happened. I also never solved "Death Row" after trying for a long, long time, only saw the solution on the En...

Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

Removing the DSA certainly prevents the error and everything works fine, it does look like it is there by accident. I also ran the recording through from the beginning with the DSA removed from the dungeon.dat, I still got the sequence timing error at the point where the DSA bug was originally occur...

Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

Whoops, WIP008 is actually the version I had played. @Zyx: would it be possible to get a version of WIP008 but with the DSA bug mentioned at the end of this thread (http://www.dungeon-master.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=75&t=25152&start=480) fixed and no other changes? This would allow me to replay the...

Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

I was actually making a complete recording of Conflux, I'd gotten quite far but had come across the glitch in the view cleaning room. But I see Zyx has released a new WIP008 version, I'd guess that this version is different enough that I can't play the recording through the dungeon... I'll try tomor...

Re: [CSBwin] Conflux III: the Undercity

@Phoenix Yes you don't have to worry about saving and reloading if you want to create a playfile of your game. All you need to do is not delete the automatically generated log files. Then you can just use the last log file created to create a playfile that can be played back in CSBWin. It's very sat...

Re: [CSBwin] Conflux III: the Undercity

Happy new year to you too, Zyx! Awesome, that sounds great :) I think there may be a missing graphic for a switch at 00 (13, 19) too, but I'm not 100% sure, might just be hard to see :) @Phoenix: It's not so much being able to keep playing I'm worried about, but having the playback/record feature wo...

Re: [CSBwin] Conflux III: the Undercity

Sounds like a good idea. I've got a save game just before I pick up the scroll that causes the error. Picking up the scroll is certainly supposed to activate the "energize ful bomb" DSA/spell but perhaps it is also supposed to disable the "Wash Footprints" DSA/spell as it is no longer needed/useful ...

Re: [CSBwin] Conflux III: the Undercity

Hi there, I think there's a bug in the Apprentice Room when you get the Energize Dead Spores spell . I get the following error: DSA &PARAM@ non-existent parameter DSA at 16(8,24) Row=0;Col=0 Followed by: DSA variable[0] used without having been assigned a value. Should Future warnings be suppressed?...

Re: Executioner Door

Hmmm, I don't think I know of any of those type of doors (Iron Bars Door) that can actually be opened via axe. The Iron Bars Doors in the Oitu nest in DAIN are meant to be bash-able also but don't seem to be able to be, although they can be blown open. So individual doors don't have their own requir...

Re: Executioner Door

Yes that's the door I meant. Sorry, not sure what I was thinking when I wrote out those co-ordinates. Game sent. I believe the little switch you mentioned only works in the Amiga version of the game and is broken in the Atari version, which CSBWin is based on. But logically, yes, it may too easy if ...

Executioner Door

According to CSBuild, the door at 11, 31, 08 is chop-able, but in CSWin this does not seem to be the case. I thought breaking doors was based on level, but maybe strength is a factor or something else, but even with my high master level character virtually OD'ing on strength potions it still seemed ...

Re: [CSBwin] Conflux III: the Undercity

@Zyx: Don't rush on my behalf! I'm happy to wait :) I just finished a play through of CSB with CSBWin version 15.7, which was the latest I could find, and I didn't notice any strange behaviour with the monsters. I did notice the spells monsters cast are now at full strength! I'm guessing a fix was p...

Re: [CSBwin] Conflux III: the Undercity

It looks like the WIP007 bug fix version came out around September this year, according to posts in the main Conflux thread. So maybe the version from December last year is the WIP006 version? But if there are issues with the WIP007 version regardless it's probably best to wait to see if Zyx has any...

Hi all, looking for the latest Conflux III version, which I believe is WIP007. Unfortunately the only link I could find, http://www.cyberskald.com/conflux/Conflux_WIP007.zip, appears to be down. Does anyone have a mirror or a way to get the latest version? Just finished a play through/recording of C...

They're great! Pretty brutal and nitty gritty compared to other books of similar genre which is different and interesting, great story and characters. Highly recommend this series. The only problem is the rate at which the author writes, you finish the latest book and can't wait to read more, then h...

Tried any of the versions from this site? http://planetemu.net/index.php?section=roms&dat=754&page=d Possibly the best site for old Amiga games. It's the same teleporter that appears either way, just below the starting pit, it can just be activated in two ways I think. Last time I actually tried this was a few versions back though so it could have changed. I just remember it appearing there, so I'm not exactly sure where the second trigger i...

Hmmm, so you must have entered the area through the 'prove you are a wizard' section, then gone across the 'bridge', and doubled back to the teleporter that appears behind you? Or did you head through the back door with the Vorpal Blade and Onyx Key? Have you killed a tough Coatl that carried an ora...

Hi, I use Windows 7 64 bit and it doesn't work. Crashes soon as I run it, there is not missing parameter error anymore, like there was with the previous version. The screen shots look great though, looking foward to a working version.

Cheers, that version worked fine. That particular recording was only a couple of minutes, just ran around madly, saved, exited and restarted to test out the splicer with the two log files. I'll send you some logs when I do something a bit more involved.

Which version of SpliceCSB should I be using? Hmmm, since you can take out saves without affecting the game, would it be possible to insert saves? Then the game could be started from the save game point, after running it through at high speed. For games that already have saves in them, it would be quite easy wouldn't it? Especially if you kept ...

I've had a go at all of those at various times I think. Infact, there is a recording of each. The secret path is used in my first few CSB recordings, the recordings that are an hour or more I think. The recordings under an hour but above 15 minutes, use a master key obtained from NETA to go through ...
