Cheese & meat would spoil alot quicker than corn, or bread so that would be a good idea about diffrent decay rates. Quite the other way around actually. Fresh produce is hard to keep from spoiling, especially in places like a damp dungeon, so corn and apples would go out pretty quickly. Same go...

Any better? Not really, no, IMO. It looks like what it is, a crappy resample with a blur applied. For comparison here's what the algorithms that at least try to not simply make the image blurry look like with DM (snes emulator because it comes with said filters): hq3x Simple 3x scaling for comparis...

Wall item sizes

I've been making some new graphics and encountered a need that isn't filled by one of the existing size groups for wall items, so I tried to change one of them into completely new sizes. However, while I can manage to get the center front bitmap to work, I can't figure out how to set the further awa...

There already are good (well, better than the screenshots shown ) algorithms to "smooth" low res graphics, such as Mame2X, advanced Mame, Super SAI, Super Eagle, etc. My favourite is the Super2xSAI, but I don't like it for all games, just a select few where it works really well. hqNx ...

Lots of ways to add a bug to the code if we attempt anything complicated. It appears that we've managed to do just that. I was testing in a dungeon without any DSAs for damages done by thrown and shot objects, and it seems we've rendered monsters invulnerable to projectiles... :P Both Screamers and...

I've had a play with it now, and it seems to fit the bill exactly (well, after it's been extended to all encounters, right now my bomb explodes only on impact with the monsters, but that part is working very nicely already :))

Thrown object impact DSA?

Is there some way to get a DSA to fire when an object you've thrown hits something? I tried looking at the filter documentation but couldn't find a suitable one. Specifically I'd like to implement a new type of bomb potion. I can see one way of implementing that, but it's so much work for both me an...

Forget I said anything about shops.... http://viila.lethalcode.net/~tylisirn/money.png Well, okay, maybe not everything I said... The shops are fun, but they're way too cheap. That's possible if it has the same feature/oversight as original DM. The pressurepad that triggers the lock-down is triggered only if you carry the Firestaff over it. It can be circumvented by throwing it out of the room. It's located right before the door that leads out from the room with the Power...

&THISCELL problems

I tried to use &THISCELL, but no matter what combination of bits I set, I can't seem to get it to work as intended. Expected was that setting bits 19 and 31 (2148007936) according to docs , would return TRUE for empty cell with nothing on it, but it always returned FALSE. Likewise, I set all bit...

ADGE doesn't like Vista

I can't seem to get ADGE (any version I have) to work in Vista 64-bit... ADGE 4b and 4b_2x complained about lack of FM20.DLL, after getting and registering said DLL, they bail out with Run-time error '7': Out of memory when started... Or then it's gotten really memory hungry when 4 GB physical RAM i...

I wonder if this fits with the authors' "intent" or if it was merely the fact that memory was tight in DM so they re-used a des ew cloud for a fuse effect rather than create a new cloud type that is only used once in the whole game. Has to be, since the Zo spell shares the shares the same...
