Re: Super Dungeon Master: Quest for the Firestaff

Thankyou. I think that is exactly the right word: 'encouragement'. It may have been 'validation' or 'popularity' there for a while perhaps, but I think 'encouragement' is the right word. So for 'Super CSB' to happen, encouragement is a good start, but mainly I will want to find a way to get excited ...

Re: Super Dungeon Master: Quest for the Firestaff

well curious Sera, I did really like making this - and if the demand is there would love to remake CSB one day. DM2, Theron's Quest, Nexus - sure - all options, but CSB was 'the daddy' and that had crossed my mind when making this: given it's twisty nature a top-down version might actually make more...

Re: Important: planned forum downtime

Hi, just looking at how the 'active topic' traffic has really dropped off: given that users now need to login via a different link, https://dungeon-master.com/forum/ucp.php?mode=login becoming http://dungeon-master.com/forum/ucp.php?mode=login, is it sensible (or possible) to mail this information t...

VIDEO WALKTHROUGH COMPLETED: And so I finally did the full walkthrough, and timed the whole main game at just over three and a half hours, and an hour for extras. Re: Super Dungeon Master: Quest for the Firestaff

Thanks! Having timed myself a few runs, and knowing the puzzles, it is completable in about 2-3 hours: but have snuck in a heap of secrets to keep people coming back (I hope anyway!) - still have to see how easy it is to do a zero-kills Tiggy speed-run... . Might add in a couple of killer PCs as a '...

Re: Thankyou for the forum, the joy it's given.

Thanks! Yes, it is a different gaming experience - very casual, but really great at telling a tale. And just plain fun. I've been around several forums too, rattling tins and banging drums - but a lot of other forums are also 'a bit quiet', so don't expect too many new visitors... still, I learned a...

Re: Thankyou for the forum, the joy it's given.

... well, wasn't that nice. Look, I've delivered my last DM game now, and the JRPG engine really helps me tell the story I wanted to tell for 10 years: 'how did Gothmog end up in the final mirror?' - and now I'm happy with the result, and done. DM can be quite suffocating so shall now go walk the la...

Re: Dungeon master Trilogy Story Project (Novel)!

I thought your question about maps was very odd to include here, but have just realised something: are you working through a map editor to write out your story with? It makes sense if you are - I've just done something similar with the RTC original dungeon by George Gilbert, though rather than writi...

Thankyou for the forum, the joy it's given.

Wanted to post my relationship with Dungeon Master Forum over time: how it has affected me and what I found. What was your story? 1987-1991: The Void 1987 - Bought and played Dungeon Master on my 520 STFM. Led to a lot of dreams involving giant scorpions in my house. 1990 - Chaos Strikes Back! My At...

Re: The DM Crew comic begins...

Perhaps DM forums itself is becoming a bit of an empty place, and maybe the end is nigh for places like these... but I like your comic-strip, if some sort of validation is what you need, :). Can I ask why you wanted to draw these comics in the first place? Because I find that - while an audience is ...
