Re: Worst Company in America

Yeah, looks like EA really butchered the game with that one. It's a good thing Rasmus is doing his own take on the Dungeon Keeper theme, Dwelvers won't be messed up by EA, I'd say.

Re: Stat degradation...

Did you try using the "Triggering" radio button and select "Health_Max"? If you used that one, I'd expect it to work on whatever member triggered the actions in the first place (in this case, whoever drunk the potion). You should then be able to compare it to the counter your usi...

Re: House MD humour

LOL, I've seen some episodes of House, pretty good show, not a favorite of mine but pretty good. Those pics sum up the show pretty accurately though. Some other doctor shows I used to watch were a bit of Grey's Anatomy, and Doc. I didn't get into Grey's until the series was well along, but once I go...

Re: INN OF LOST SOULS: general chit-chat thread

@Money: I've had that happen myself, from time to time, I look through my library of games and just can't find one I feel like playing. Sometimes it's because I'm just really not in the mood to play video games, and am just looking to play them out of habit, sometimes it's because I have so many cho...

Re: Cool stuff you've found on the web

Fishing and nuke. I was in Sweden on a fishing vacation, outdoors all days long, around april 26th 1986. Later, back home I got aware of Tchernobyl. From my investigations about the radioactive cloud wanderings and lies about it, likely I got it. No, I do not glow in the dark. However I will be for...

Which version of IE? I have IE 11 and it loads fine (as long as the popup blocker is not enabled), remember its using a HTML 5 Canvas so only really the later browsers will be supported. I have 10.0.12. The other browsers versions are: Chrome: 34.0.1847.131 Firefox: 28.0 Safari: 5.1.7 EDIT: I tried...

Re: Bloodwych HTML

I used the PC version of Safari, btw, I got the exact same issue as Kanda, so I think it's Safari and not the OS that's causing it.

On IE it doesn't even display a broken progress update, just a blank box, so I suspect those are different issues.

Re: Cool stuff you've found on the web

It's amazing how powerful of effects these solar eruptions can have on us here. Then again, considering the amount of energy emitted during such events, it's kind of amazing they don't have more of an effect then they do. Credit that to our own planet's magnetic field deflecting most of the energy a...

Re: New Four-Class Archmaster

In the Amiga version, the fireshields always stacked, as far as I know, at least they did in the version I had. Towards the end of my playing the Amiga DM, I discovered that stacking 3 or 4 fireshields would render the black flames and viper demons' fireballs useless against the party. This doesn't ...

Re: RELAYS

Based on my understanding of the way relays work, combined with the way the logical "and" "or" and "xor" work, a counter would not be needed for the "and" condition, since all relays testing the various elements of the condition would need to activate in seque...

clunky can also mean, in poor repair, as in a cat that's an old clunker that barely runs.

That sounds like a great idea for a dungeon. An inn much like the Eagle's "Hotel California" you can check out of the inn any time you want, but you can never leave.

Re: RELAYS

That's right, you usually don't need a counter for an "and" condition as the relays are activated in sequence so if one fails they whole action fails. The only time you'd need a counter is if it stores a value you need for one of the relay's tests. Essentially, since you can't work with us...

Re: Scaling dungeon difficulty

Actually, that method would not be difficult to implement, a trigger set to activate a relay, conditional upon the highest level of the party that activates actions that swap out certain monsters for more powerful versions shouldn't be too hard or complicated to set up. There would be 3 basic object...

I'd also recommend you download Return to Chaos if you haven't already, there's dozens of custom dungeons available for it, enough to keep you dungeon crawling for the rest of the year, and Sauman's got 2 great dungeons close to release. I've managed to use a combination of relays and counters to create an "exclusive or" (XOR) condition, as well as linked them in series to create an "and" condition. Having one unconditional relay activate multiple conditional relays creates an "or" condition. So if you ...

Re: New Four-Class Archmaster

@ BULIGO: In RTC the fireshield does work differently then in, eg, the Amiga version, and it definitely is less effective, but it definitely does work, I can get my party to survive fireballs that would otherwise have 1HKO'ed them without the fireshield. In the Amiga verison, 3 or 4 fireshields stac...
