Would it be possible to have some kind of note stating which version of RTC works best with each dungeon? Some are noted in the Readmes, but several don't specify which version they were created for. Sophia noted elsewhere that Reactor doesn't work properly beyond 0.23, but I can't get it to load in...

I'm... stunned. I just always thought it was a little man like Boris (Boris is a man, right?). Funnily enough at the moment I'm doing a RTC run with Tiggy solo, which I always liked the challenge of in the original game - taking the weakest character through DM and Chaos and molding them into a fear...

[Not a bug] Hole in the wall placement

More a graphical error than a bug I think, but I'm playing 0.43 RTC, and those holes you get in the lower-right section of a wall tile - that sometimes have switches in them... well, if that particular tile is ahead of you on your right the hole appears on the left side of the tile, the furthest edg...

I completely agree that RTC doesn't need any kind of graphics or sound editor built in. There are plenty of free programs that anyone can get access to for that sort of thing - Gimp and GraphicsGale to name but two that are very useful for creating bitmaps. beowuuf told me what I needed to know on t...

Thanks Ameena - I've got as far as putting a guy in a mirror now. For some reason I just thought that there would be ready-made characters to pick from - the original DM crew as it were. I didn't think about the fact that with a new dungeon everyone would have to be defined in terms of names and att...

Really elementary editing question

I'm playing about with the RTC editor - I'm no programmer and to be quite honest all the other utilities on offer for various things baffle the heck out of me. Basically I'm just looking to rustle up some fun little custom dungeons for myself using the default RTC resources. My problem is an immedia...

Got one now :) That was just me being a bit brainless about where I'd been. I'd been through the first gold key door, fallen down a few pits then got sidetracked and started wandering about having forgotten I'd even been up there. I lay the blame at playing over several sessions and not taking notes...

I hate it when there aren't any flasks :(

Oh, forest of doom was the one with the interconnected groves, right? I think you're thinking of Scorpion Swamp :) By 'eck though, this looks nice. That was my line of thought on it too... some kind of tribute or act of respect in front of the alcove. Wracked my brains to think of what it could be though. Phew! I finished it. It got really sticky towards the end, with my party starving, unable to rest and regain mana and a handful of stronger monsters to fight. I had to run back up the where the worms were a couple of times in the hope that they had regenerated. In the end I managed to eat just enoug...

Yeah, I've tried making a trail of ZoKathRas, but rather than just turning you around the hazes teleport you about, so it's become a bit of a head-scratcher. I'll plod on with it, though I'm running very low on food now and the only resource is that worms room - and we all know how nourishing worm r...

I'm stuck on the maze of hazes :(

I am enjoying it immensely though. It has that particular feature that I liked about parts of DM and most of Chaos - where things circle back on themselves, join up and open new areas. The entire dungeon has a satisfying coherence.

I actually enjoyed Bloodwych a great deal, but I have to say the 99% of that probably came down to the fact that I played it through with a friend - which is I think the way it must be played. As a single-player dungeon experience I found it quite lacking. The time I spent playing it in co-op does c...

Ah, I see. Yes it is what you describe. It was probably the same on the ST and Amiga but it's so many years since I've played those versions I can't remember.
