Re: Doom Blade - Hint Book

Wasn't here for a couple of days - cool to see people playing this! Gambit: lbk's directions sound good. In general, you have to keep right from the entrance to the Dragon Cave in order to reach the dragons. Once you assemble the whole Dragon armour, you don't have to do any more pit-hopping over mu...

Re: [RTC] Bane of the Cosmic Forge

PaulH - Was wondering how this project has been coming along, if youre still working on it, ect. BotCF was one of my favorite games back in the day (Ive beaten every single Wizardry game made) and I have been anticipating this project with interest in my own quiet lurker way. Wow, you beat Wizardry...

Re: Doom Blade - Hint Book

Sorry for the delay Gambit. Ok, I just checked. The good news: It's not a dead-end. I seemed to actually have put SOME thought in that thing. Joramun is right with his hint. Keep exploring the first room where you found a dragon. You will find a corridor with a hole in the ceiling. Explore that corr...

Zed: While I do appreciate that you took your time to write a rather long review, I really doubt how objective a review can be if the reviewer has only seen about 10% of the game. I know that I only review dungeons I have completed for fear of not doing the dungeon and/or the designer justice. Just ...

Re: Oh yeah, THAT'S the name of that old game

I remember reading stuff about Phantasie III in the good old Power Play magazine. It was the game with baby dragons and the ability to replace injured body parts with body parts from other races, right? I have never played it, but it seemed to have some sort of small cult following.

Winter wonderland indeed. Last week, I crashed into a traffic sign with my car because the streets are icy as hell. Nobody injured at least. In two days, I have to drive 160 km to my girlfriend who currently resides with her parents for her birthday, and then we'll drive the 400 km back to Berlin. A...

Out of curiosity, how long did you play? How many secrets have you found? Which ending did you see (there are several ones)?

Re: Forum Quote of the week

Well, if I had time, my next dungeon would be much more abstract in its behavior. It would adapt to the player with a certain personality. The game would be as much to survive as to understand the mind of the dungeon, and manage to dialog and "tame" it. I mean that the dungeon would react...

I'm looking forward to this. I replayed Bane just about a year ago, and it was still as fun as it was the first time. Can you do me a favor and PLEASE tone down the mines a bit? They were terribly annoying, I always got lost there even WITH maps. Having played through Doom Blade twice already...

Re: Playing CSB again

Entering the Death Row is hard and not necessary at all. In order to find the Corbums, you have to enter the Diabolical Demon Director. In there, you need the Emerald Key, the Ruby Key, the Solid Key and the Turquoise Key. No idea what "accursed room of worms" you are talking about. I have...

I like the idea, too, but to be honest, I'd be happier if you put the time you would spend on this in creating a dungeon. Of course, if you have fun doing it, by all means go for it! I'm just saying I'd rather play a new dungeon with the same old graphics then an old dungeon with new graphics - but ...

Hm, Excalibur actually should be better than Anduril... But both are pretty good. Every character except the four starting characters gives hints about some puzzles or secrets in the dungeon. So depending on whom you take, you may get useful hints. Also, there is a certain secret to one specific cha...
