Wow, I just suggested it half-jokingly as a possible means to do a "Challenge Mode" run of some kind. That's pretty crazy that some people are actually attempting it. But are you gonna do CSB as well?

Maybe you could try adding in some other challenges too, like "no spellcasting" (except essentials, like that one Zokathra, or that bit early on where you have to open a door), or "only use a dagger", or whatever. Might change things up a bit for you?

Should be a piece of piss considering you've just soloed CSB with a newly-woken Tiggy .

I think they do in RTC, because I do remember playing a version in which they made an attack sound, and RTC was the first version of DM I found when I fancied playing the game again some time in the early noughties and decided to look online.

I don't remember them having an attack sound even back on the Atari, and since that's the version used by CSBWin, this is presumably accurate?

The Munchkin Muncher...that is, a munchkin who is also a muncher, not someone who munches munchkins. And now I've done that thing where I used a word too much in a short space of time so it no longer looks like a real word (munch) .

I always just assumed that monsters don't know about false walls unless they see you using one, at which point they become aware of it and can follow you. But I hadn't thought about it in terms of actual game mechanics so it's probably nothing quite so complex .
