Re: break a door with a definite action
It's possible but you will have to mess with attack methods, actions and relays quite a bit. I actually did just that in my dungeon, it was not too much work but only because it was done for only one door.

You do not pay attention to titles do you? Mophus has title "the healer". Healers never kill anyone if not necessary, because they try to make people healthly, and killing is unhealthly.

1) I see you are not stupid 2)Bold idea! actually so bold that with very good aiming it might even work! (if one were at such situation in real life there certainly would be much risks no matter what he/she were to do). However, if I were you I would rather use the longsword to blind it (permanent!)...

1:Wow you are good thinker. What would you take for your feet? 2:Are you sure? If you manage to get your ankle ligments or bones severed i would imagine it will take a very strong potion to fix them. And the flask may also well shatter in the fall (Not in dm but in real life would). Also, try not sa...

Re: Worst 'single hero' pick in a game of DM
If you want to take kazai (changed: Lor. Sorry my mistake) and plague together you have to get kazai first with someone else. Not to worry trough, you can always kill the bringer in real dungeon so it is out of way.

Re: Films you should watch, books you should read
I say it directly: all books by Arto Paasilinna. Or Ilkka Remes if you want thrillers. I agree with the starter, the hobbit by J.R.Tolkien is good. And it's worth reading Välskärin kertomuksia by Sakari Topelius and uncle Tom's cabin by Harriet Beecher-stove too. I do not know about films as I do no...

For change, let's imagine ourselves away from computers, but still near it's stuff. Actually closer than we would want! In this topic imagine YOURSELF adventuring in DM dungeons. I post some situations where to imagine yourself. What you would do/attempt in certain situations, tell us. There are not...

Good idea. There could also be a possiblity to give MORE than 15 levels, and something to control how much experince is needed.

Re: [RTC] Black Gate
Zed5duke you really should fix the dead-ends. Best way of course is to do like Sophia: puzzles which are simply too hard to do with only quessing. But if you still prefer punishing, you could do like everyone else recommaded: warn the player that the party anymore has no changes. But you're right, i...

My faworite is Skelar the slayer. It's probsly the Darooou of the CSB. Smiling mophus does not name him phycho. After all many of them smile: Syra, Tiggy, Azizi, Halk in DMplus portrait... How do you think syra looks like some predator? For me she just looks like an extremely merry person. If someon...

Re: Finally did it!
After all I would advise you try both of DMII and custom dungeons: DMII has EXCELLENT graphics, very interesting monster behaviour and it's after all story sequel to CSB. But custom dungeons are interesting too: I recommend you start with Gem of ra, Reactor, or Vexirk catacomb, they are very familia...

Re: Worst 'single hero' pick in a game of DM
Mongor is VERY easy in rtc, you can kill it with any character assuming you see it before it sees you. Tiggy is easy in original, not sure about RTC. But in original I spent a bit time training her ninja on first level and I got her hp over 100 before I went down and I still had plenty of food left....

Re: Worst 'single hero' pick in a game of DM
Why tiggy? Hp and stamina are easy to train, thus they will not be problem when you get into first hard fight. I might have been wrong with the halk being the hardest one but im sure he is NOT one of the easiest, for simple reason: Leif and Zed for example are easily powerful enough fighters to surv...

Re: Worst 'single hero' pick in a game of DM
I vote for Halk the barbarian. Just brute strenght without magical skills at all! In single-champion games if you try to solve problems with just brute strenght you will never do it as brute force tactic requires numbers, and actually even 4 champions can't make it by just smashing and hacking until...

Hmm in finland the closer you are to the beach where most of the very big cities (+20000 inhabitants) are the less the speech varies from area to other (but imay be wrong). At south beach you cannot always even tell where you roughly are. But inland if you have very good dialect sense you can tell w...

Actually DMjava already has: the dungeon made by alandale himself is at least as good as the original, but this will be by far the better however.

Re: [RTC] Black Gate
The example of the pit with damager in bottom opened by item on pad, I can understand you wanted to kill ones who were stupid enough to throw an item on pad behind. But you should have made it close few ticks later or made it close if the item is removed and replaced the damager on bottom with telep...
