Just a quick question:
Would the Armored Worms even care that you are hollering your lungs out? Or would they just go "Stop running around and just let me eat your loud, tasty flesh now!"?
Just a thought.

Re: LIST OF CUSTOM DUNGEONS
If one has a custom dungeon that they would like to submit, how would they go about doing it?
Just something that would be useful to know.

Annoyance-reducing tips (Contains spoilers!)
I noticed a method in Dungeon Master 2 of bypassing or ignoring some of the puzzles and annoyances without using an editor. They all involve the scout minion and, as a result, can't be used in RTC. They are: Some monsters do not strike a scout minion unless you occupy the same space, leaving you wit...

Re: Automap: Bonus Item or Permanent Feature?
Another idea would be to do what DM2 did - give the Magic Map item at the beginning of the game and force the player to hold it in their hand order to use it.

Okay. Thank you for the swift response, Sphenx. I guess it's a good thing that the programmers of the game had some spare combo slots left over.

Questions regarding ADGE.net
The topic is in the plural, so as to leave room for other questions.
Is there any way to expand the amount of combos available with or in ADGE.net, or am I stuck with only 43?
With hopes of an answer,

Re: Custom dungeons from DMDC2
When I say I have no creative talent, I mean ideas don't like coming to me. Lord Chaos himself has cursed me with a constant aura of anti-wisdom and shyness. He also sent the evil Layoth, brother of the currently transformed Dragoth, to stop any friendly brainstorm minions from reaching me. I might ...

Custom dungeons from DMDC2
I might have DMDC2, but I have absolutely no creative talent. Perhaps someone would like to create a custom dungeon using DMDC2? I know I would.

I would like to go a few numbers above and beyond the standard limit (with some dummy portraits, just in case), but I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to modify or edit any of the files that exist, let alone create new ones.

Yep. I tested the hypothesis before I joined this site and came back with a positive on the testing phase. You can also put down guard minions, but they don't last very long, seeing how they try to (unsuccessfully) blast an incorporeal creature and run out of magic. You can also use scout minion tri...

Thanks for the warning. Any advice on getting help for the tools? It would be nice to learn by reading, instead of entering a vicious circle of: 1) Attempting things on your own. 2) Screwing things up. 3) Getting increasingly frustrated. 4) Repeating steps one to three another four times. 5) Breakin...

OK. Maybe it is time to describe the situation without any embellishment. That might help us solve your problem. I agree with that statement. It would help the helper if I stuck to the facts. My issue begins when I try to use an external 4-bit bitmap image with the proper palette. I get a: " C...

Re: Safe Markers
I like the fact that DM2 introduced invisible creatures to simulate such behaviour. Under the pits you encounter the invisible walker that opens doors. And as the moving holes are classified as creatures, they actively chase the player, minions shoot at them, and they can't share a space with a min...

Okay, I embellished a little, eh, make that a lot, but you get the general idea. The recording that I have sent you might help you (or anyone else who you think can) solve my problem. If it doesn't, it means I am pretty much out of luck. Thank you for the help, and the corrections that you have give...

To Sphenx: When I say the path, I mean the one that appears and disappears. I have only ever tested on DM2-PC with SVGA graphics. If my results are incorrect, well, there is not much I can do.

Re: Really Dumb question
I know that I accidentally sent you the wrong dungeon. The DMDUNGEON.DAT is supposed to be a backup copy of the DM-PC dungeon. The problem for the dungeon that I have edited with CSBuild is that CSBWin declares "Portrait not found, bwahahahahaha." when I stand in front of the mirror. What ...

I am willing to keep them for you, Bit. Send them to my e-mail address and I'll hang on to them. Indefinitely, if need be. The only problem is that someone would need to e-mail me to get the portraits, which could take a while.
My e-mail address is coming to you on a PM.

Really? I found myself in constant fear of a cave-in, having become the sole support between falling rubble and the floor once in sharga mines 1. I also remember waking up the ettin (apparently using a silence spell isn't enough if you walk into his space). Another one that frightens me is Portal 1 ...

I am very awkward with using anything but as an attachment in an e-mail. My address is in the PM that I have sent you. What I am trying to do is use a portrait in addition to the portraits used for the original DM characters (CSBWin doesn't seem to like them for some reason), and yes, I am trying to...

Re: How to kill the end boss...
I can believe it Mr. Stevens! I have used that tactic quite recently (that is, less than a fortnight (14 days)) ago. It does matter where you jump, by the way. If you fall on the path to or away from Dragoth, then you will always reappear in the ZO-gate corridor. Jumping off at other points will bri...

To Mr. Stevens, would you be willing to take a look at my dungeon.dat to tell me what I am doing wrong? I would like to try to use a custom CSB portrait, but I can't seem to attain that goal. Most frightning firstperson that you've played
This is a matter of opinion only! The game I fear the most for DOS/Win95+ is Stonekeep. The lack of strafing, the potential to be instakilled by certain things (cave in, rolling boulder), the creepy atmosphere/music, not to mention the opening cinematic. If any one else would like to put in their fi...
