Yes, Beowuuf, I'd very much like to see the logs. Can they be stored in a subfolder of the conflux-account under each contestant so they can be reviewed at will? If that does not take too much space, that is. Otherwise a download on regular basis (say a monthly .rar file) would be fine as well if th...

I'd also say keep the maps private while the competition is in it's early stages, Gambit, although -same as Beowuuf- I'd appreciate if you could mail them to the judges to have a look at all the work you have been doing.

Ok, then I'll accept your wish. I was thinking along the lines of Conflux creating hints rather on a basis of certain abilities but if that's what you want, fine with me. What do you think about the skill height being a factor though? Like getting a hint to be able to bash a door when your strength ...

You would probably need new code parts to stop monsters acting only with the purpose of running around and attacking if it sees someone. It might be fun though to create a "familiar" that way helping you to solve puzzles... standing on two different pressure pads to open a acertain door fo...

It would also allow for pretty complex riddles. For example, take a door that would be half closed (opening up/down) and stuck that way. If a giggler would have to get a certain item and take possession of it, you could have a pressure pad somewhere in the room behind above-mentioned door triggering...

I like the basic idea but am not happy with the "CharacterX" as a choice, since it would create a very "random" feeling. In Conflux II, hints are based on certain characters and their special abilities, but if it was implemented like you proposed any character happening the third...

I've had a similar problem with no new objects and no clones at all, so I'm not sure that this needs to be the reason for the crash. I received an empty log file and 0 warnings and errors and RTC still could not load the dungeon.

No problem. It was decided against keeping logs for the competition because it would be too complicated if you started multiple times from the same save game or changed CSBwin.exe files - that would include a lot of manual work to make proper Playfiles. I'm just curious and interested in the playing...

The flame of the torch looks very nice, iron top of it is a little too shiny for my taste. Items look good, the contents of the potion flask remind me a little of the surface of some planet. In general I'd go for less shiny objects but rather make some of them look a little worn - not like they have...

I'm mapping the dungeons in my mind. Drawing takes away the suspense for me so I simply try to remember locations and certain way points and it mostly works.
