Re: Closing an educational gap - Ian Livingstone et al.

The FF ones I remember most are the ones that were different. Creature of Havoc - brilliant. Then some of the ones that had a very different feel to regular fantasy settings: Phantoms of Fear (you play an elf, and you can explore it in the dream world too), Crimson Tide (a bit dark, at least when I ...

Re: Common experiences

I wouldn't use them for training even if there was some food left of them
Too tough? Or tired of being poisoned? Or simply extreme arachnophobia?

Re: So, tell us about yourself...

Thanks for the welcome! Yes, the whole Enda/Edna thing causes lots of problems, especially at work when I contact non-Irish people via email. Sometimes peoples spell-checkers even auto-correct it to Edna. Thanks for the advice Trantor, I will definitely play them again, starting with CSBwin. Not muc...

Re: Common experiences

Ha ha...the pictures are long lost (but probably still on some old floppy disk with my saved games in my Mum's house). Very easy to do though, right-click was the fill option in the paint program, so you just chose an "appropriate" colour and change her green dress into that....some (well,...

Common experiences

One of the interesting things I found when reading these boards is the amount of similar experiences we all had (not that surprising since we are playing the same game). For instance I was going to start a topic asking if anyone else used to live for a while in the screamer room on level 4, piling u...

Re: Memorable Moments...

Level 4 is the most memorable for me. It was the worm infestation, myself and a friend went charging out and killed some worms but got badly wounded. Then we ran back into a safe room and closed the door. Of course it was not safe, and we just heard the lion-like roar of two worms behind us...I was ...

Re: So, tell us about yourself...

My God, I almost cried when I found all these links and pictures to Dungeon Master...it has been so long, but I loved it so much!!! I don't know what made me think of it again, but seeing the box art and the in-game graphics brought it all back. I still remember the day I completed it, it was in 198...
