Re: swabian wonder world

Got to love the Boattail design! Following Adamos link, it seems they really are about to shut down production. Really sad. I love the design of their fire trucks. Very much like the old MAN KAT. ("Lick your car/favorite truck" contest anyone? :P) As for work: everything is going just too ...

Re: Conflux III : too difficult ?

For beginners there should be something like a FAQ or a "first steps" compendium. There is a Beginners FAQ for Conflux on the wiki, written by some bigmouth promising much, but not keeping any of those promises (yes, me). It doesn't include the features added in 3.5, though. So if you wis...

Re: Old Games

Truely a nice find! Thank you.
I've downloaded Wizardry 6 and it works like a dream. Just by clicking on an exe, no fiddling with DOSbox and patched up to have max bonus points for character creation. No more spending an entire weekend to create a decent party with Samurai and Ninja. ;-)

Re: The Return of Mitch

Now the kitchen in Conflux suddenly becomes a scary place. (I bet something weird happens when you kill the golden rats using thrown stuff. Probably drop a spanish fly for the horny pillar) We need that friggin source, so you code-heads can have your way with it. Anyway: Thank you, Mitch! Lot's of p...

Re: My crazy mum is at it again! And my family sucks.

Growing up in direct neigbourhood to the largest psychiatric clinic in the south of Germany and doing 3 month of community service at that place , my views on this subject may be a bit "clinical". I have no idea what I would do if it was my mom, so I can just think of this in terms of a &q...

Re: My crazy mum is at it again! And my family sucks.

There is no real advice that can be given here, so other than our best wishes and hopes people can be of little help about what you are going through right now. Here is my lame attempt of advice anyway: If she is behaving irrational, you probably can't reach her in a sane and rational way. If you ca...

We've been playing WarCraft2 on the Uni Server to the point of calling people by the default names of the multiplayer battle. So every semester had at least one Ramsey. :-) Perfect balancing of the units aside, there is one thing in StarCraft2 (multiplayer against uber players) I heard of that seems...

I guess it isn't done this way any more, Sophy. ;-) You can grab full blue ray HD images of the net, ususally the next day of the premiere. The leaky spot is the projectionist or even the editing department of the movie company, as some movies are available before they even can be seen in the cinema...

Re: Inception

Stunning visuals (and the way they reach your visual cortex) may help to make a better movie (or game) for sure and it's certainly true for a already -good- movie, watched for the first time, spoiled by using a device not really suited for it. It may even prevent building up the atmosphere needed to...

Re: Sherlock

[the movie - just in case you havn't seen it yet] The way Holmes character was set up is intriguing. Young, brilliant, psychopathic, drug-abusing, sharing quite a bit of the dark side of Moriarty. I've very much enjoyed this movie (and the music). They did a good job, restaging these old b/w flicks.

Seen this movie on the BIG screen (of a Pocket PC). People seem to be very different in what they like and dislike when it comes to movies. I guess there are people in existence who didn't like Terminator 2. I stopped at the point where it turned from "Matrix" into "James Bond". ...

*LOL* What a great picture! Definitely gonna use it. :D It shows an extreme of the compromise you'd have to make between a high mine protection class and cross country mobility. I will now start working, so there can be proof tomorrow morning that my solution will work.
