Re: So, tell us about yourself...

Welcome to the forums, Big Stan. 8) Like ob, I'd ask you how the SNES version of DM compares to the other versions, but until you've tried one of them that's kind of a pointless question to ask. I've only played the Amiga and RTC versions of Dungeon Master, and the Amiga version of BotCF and EOB. I ...

That sounds like a call for me to do some more testing. I guess I'll have to go back into the dungeon and get testy again. :)

Re: New Spells Vs Monsters

I'd recommend you start with a test of concept, making sure you can get the spell to do what you want, without setting up the power levels, that way if your idea doesn't work you won't have wasted time setting something up for nothing, and you can move onto trying something else more quickly. If it ...

That is true. I still say that companies that fill our air, land and water with poisonous fumes, or genetically taint our food supplies hurt us far worse. Yes, I realised. Just gently winding up SU by deliberately misinterpreting his post as a defense of EA. :) you're one sick bastard, ob. :P I'll w...

Re: Testing a new dungeon...

Not that I'm aware of. I'm also getting testy with it, na-na nanana. The puzzles are definitely plentiful, more plentiful then the monsters. They're all also solvable so far, from in info you have available to you in the game, no need to beg for spoilers from the dev or someone who found a solution ...

Re: New Spells Vs Monsters

In what way? How to go about doing that depends on what effects you want. I'd say that at some point you'd want that spell to trigger a uniquely named relay, which would activate any specific effects you want. You will likely also want to create something like a unique spell cloud and spell object t...

I did not watch it all yet. I know 30 minutes seems like a long time, but once you get into it, the time will fly by quickly, and I'd definitely recommend you watch the whole video. the sheer amount of human misery they cause in the name of profit. I was cruising around Reddit and found someone had posted this video about EA, and I remembered some of our discussions about that company from last year and thought, "what a great video, I'm sure the community here would love to see it too!" So here it is: Why EA Treats You LIke A LIttle ...

I bet there are some people who actually take it seriously and believe i There sure are. As for that mother who went on a crusade against D&D, a simple game for crying out loud, it was probably to blame her son's problems on a game then to accept her share of the responsibility for his conditio...

That's great, looks like you're starting to get the hang of this. I just took a quick look at an RTC formatted text file and from what I can tell, the "/*" opens a comment and the "*/" closes a comment, each main section seems to each start with a line that looks something like t...

For some reason I always forget about the fire shield. Same for the normal shield. When I first started playing, I also used to forget about it -- unless I was entering an area where I knew there were traps that shoot strong fireballs at the party, like in the later parts of Neta in CSB, where you ...

Yeah, I saw his videos, but I don't think he ever finished that project off. Although I often wind up fireballing or poison balling the gigglers as they run away. I'm sure everyone does that, there really isn't much other choice, there is no way the party can catch them, unless you get lucky and trap them in a dead end. Just tank them. When you play with just two characters...

We all do need to take responsibility for our environment and health, that's for sure. there were no creatures attacking but I guess we could also make it so if the party takes some damage that an invisible response to the attack could be possible, sort of a defence, give a small bit of damage locally to any attack. I think that is fair. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by that... :?
