Re: Just for fun..... Helloween!

It certainly could, but it depends on how complex you want the mechanics to be. There are certain things that cannot be done... but with the right planning, a decent full size dungeon could be achieved. The only way that the living dead party can be made is through a pit (as far as i can tell), but ...

Re: Music problem when you die

What i mean is.... It worked without the relay loop. Strange! Setup was no different to what is in my dungeon. Maybe i have missed something.

Re: Favorite One Liners

Aha... I think... I think i have both (maybe). Ameena's sounds like Number Six from 'The Prisoner', but i'm going from the quote i remember ("I am not a number, i'm a free man") rather than the given one. I'm assuming from Jan's last post that it is Stallone... And the movie it seems most ...

Re: Music problem when you die

Strange one... I set up a small test dungeon with the same scenario (ie.. a trigger that activates the music and one that deactivates it), and the bug didn't happen. I activated the music, then moved through the deactivate trigger and saved it. Then went back to the activate trigger to start the mus...

Re: Music problem when you die

Please forgive the double post...

I have tried some test scenarios... Obviously the 'Sound Ambient' switching on and off won't do. Seems that this is a bug that i'll just have to live with.
Annoying, but there you go!

Re: Music problem when you die

I realise the answer this is probably 'No' (since GG wasn't and isn't around), but was this ever resolved? Or is there a decent workaround? I have an extensive musical score in my new dungeon...and though it could only happen very rarely, it is pretty annoying! It seems that whatever point the music...

Re: Dungeon Master with one "extreme" Champion

Hmmm... Tried it with DM (in DSB), but weird stuff was happening. Used Hissssa with every stat down to 1 (including health, stamina, and mana). Had to be very careful not to bump into walls. Every step took stamina to zero, and carrying stuff was obviously a problem. Main problem though was after ga...

Yes... Wall objects can still be clicked by the dead party.
Also, the bug works with any character (test or otherwise).

Re: Favorite One Liners

I'm back in the 'Don't know' zone!

Would never have got the GTA5 quote. I sort of left off the series after the 2nd gen stuff. Need to try some more modern games.
No idea about CS quote... Feel like i should know Jan's (sounds very familiar), but don't. Sounds like an action movie!

Re: Just for fun..... Helloween!

It was here: http://www.dungeon-master.com/forum/vie ... =6&t=29976

The dungeon was just a little play around with the bug, and a bit of fun dialogue between a few characters.
My original aim was to make it more interactive, but the bug places a few limitations on what you can do.

Just for fun..... Helloween!

Months and months ago, i stumbled across a strange bug in RTC. Terkio remarked that a small Halloween dungeon based around it might be nice. So i did... and then soon forgot about it. Come Halloween, i still failed to remember. It was only when looking through some old threads that i recalled it. So...

For Lor and Kazai, other than the lo master levels in fighter and ninja respectively, i don't think there is anything special.

Re: Dungeon Master with one "extreme" Champion

If we're talking a solo run with one of Luke's 'extreme' champions (ie.. no mana or low strength, etc) i usually go for Halk for the extra strength and health over Stamm at the start (although i think Stamm levelled up better last time i tried).

Otherwise, i like Hissssa.

Re: Prison - how to get one of the two extra-champions?

No problem Luke. It can be a pain at the start with reincarnated champions (much easier with resurrection where you can just fireball the mummies and rockpiles), but follow Jan's method. It might take some time, but you'll get what you want.

Re: Prison - how to get one of the two extra-champions?

Hmmm... Don't know why the door would not already be open. It should only close if you choose the other 'extra' champion. It has been a long time since i used these champions, but i'm pretty sure the trigger to close the respective doors is in the mirror of each. EDIT : Oh wait... I think it is beca...

Re: Dungeon Master with one "extreme" Champion

Indeed. Gaining the first priest level with war cry will only give you around 4 mana (though you could take the time to get to novice and get a little more), whereas Teowand gives you 6, enabling you to cast lo level light spells without sleeping in between runes. The reason i go for war cry is that...

Re: Dungeon Master with one "extreme" Champion

The Staff of Manar in the northeast corner of level 7 gives you +10 mana, but it's a long time to wait. Better to stay where you are for a while, and get some priest and wizard levels at the screamer room.

Re: Dungeon Master with one "extreme" Champion

You'd need to cast Zokathra to activate the Firestaff. I have done a solo run with Halk (and then took him into CSB), and a Tiggy run (as quite a few others have). Just down to different tactics at the start. You could war cry your way to neophyte priest level, and then when you get a flask on the f...
