Re: RTC working on Android

I would also be very interested in seeing where this goes. Like most people on here I don't get so much time to play games anymore, but I do travel quite a bit. Having DM on Android would be fantastic.

Re: Popular characters... and their backstory.

Same for me. That also explains my choice of avatar.

I am bit surprised at the lack of love for Halk/Alex/Stamm but overall the ratings are roughly what I would have expected.

BTW I never heard of any bonus from having Hissssa fight, I guess someone would have discovered it by now if it were true?

Happy Christmas everyone!

@boyflea - indeed! Weird that a 1980s game would result in me wishing long distance Christmas wishes to people I have never met in person.

Re: Popular characters... and their backstory.

A tough choice! For my 4 top choices I picked the people I used in my last playthrough: Gothmog, Sonja, Syra, Zed. It was hard not to click some of my other favs, like Stamm, Alex and Hissssa. For my least favs I picked the ones I have used least: Boris, Tiggy, Gando, Daroou. Nothing against them, I...

Re: Four Character Archmaster Party

As my 'Location' suggests, I thought I used spend a lot of time training. But this is beyond what I had imagined possible! :D Actually the highest I ever naturally reached was ON Master. I could go to MON Master with the Firestaff and Pendant Feral and in the pre-internet days I thought that this wa...

Re: Games I'm currently playing

I like the look of the Rapture. I played The Walking Dead (I think it was after you recommended it here, Gambit) and really liked it. This looks to have even less game mechanics, but a do enjoy a good story.

Lucky you Ameena :D

I only played
Spoiler
Ishar 2
. I was going to guess the first in that series, but clearly not.

By 1993 the ST was not getting many new games released, and my Amiga-owning friend was not a big fan of these RPGs, so I probably never played it.

Games I'm currently playing

I have had a bit of a chance in the last week to get through some games that have been sitting on my hardrive for a while. Tonight, I just finished Pillars of Eternity . Funny, finishing games now is both easier and harder than it was when I was a kid. Easier due to some combination of me being bett...

Re: Guess the game

There were a bunch of manager games, it even took me a few minutes to remember the name. I wanted to call it Championship Manager, but actually it is Premier Manager . A game my brother and I played together a lot - it was fun each controlling a team in the same league. Though it also led to violent...

Re: Guess the game

That's why I wouldn't call it an ARPG, just an old school RPG :D But thankfully combat does not involve transferring to a different screen. It is more like X-Com if you have ever played that (or indeed a tabletop RPG). It is standard real time until you meet enemies, at which point it pauses. The ch...

Yes, that's it. I knew the characters looked familiar too.

Mine is

Divinity: Original Sin
. Even though it looks like an ARPG though, it isn't. Actually combat is turn based, which makes a nice change.

It is... and you're correct! (the best of the series IMHO) I had a feeling that was right, but I have no idea why - I never played any of them! I didn't know Jan's or either of Ameena's, though the Oddysee thing rings a bell. And I don't know Saumun's current one - my lack of arcade knowledge means...

@Jan - that works! No problem having some flexibility in the choice of a second quote. If it becomes exhausted and repetitive I'm sure someone will shout at you

Dorothy: You had me at hello.
