Rat level training?
Re: Hio! :)
I think those stairs are where I was yesterday when I loaded up my old game. I had a save file sitting there so thought I'd load it up (On WinUAE) and I was at the bottom of some stairs facing a plus/cross switch. I had the firestaff and all my team was kitted up with pretty armour and stats...but I...
Re: Hio! :)
Level 12 is the worst for me in that sense. I also like having comfort in having a fair idea of what I'm going to run into, but when those octopus/non-material things can go through doors and stuff...well that's just not fair!
Re: Hio! :)
Yeah the Floating Eyes were a pain for that as well. I think I hated them more because you couldn't hear them coming at all. At least Coatyl's flap

Re: Best CSB champion
You know I always had trouble chosing characters in this game. Could never settle on a party :\
Re: Hio! :)
Lol also fun when the person pumping the legs away from that scary knight says "Nah nah I know where I'm going!", which usually winds up with us stuck in an alcove flailing away hopelessly till we die :) Or the amount of times we'd be walking around, turn a corner and usually have the shit...
Re: Hio! :)
Thanks for the welcome :) You know Ameena, I'd been reading over some threads the last few days and I actually thought your username was Flippy. I should pay more attention hey :) Hmm well under the embarrassing column, i could probably put the fact that this game used to scare the absolute pants of...

Re: Best Four Champions...
My party nearly always had the same 3, with the 4th person interchanging through the runs. Always had Daroou, Wu Tse and Gothmog. Daroou was always my main figher, but for some reason only I will ever know...which I don't really, Wu Tse was the 2nd figher. She gained levels pretty fast on the whole ...

Re: Do you ever map by hand?
When I was younger mum and our neighbour (Who used to play together) went through and mapped the whole dungeon of DM1, along with item, monster and switch locations (And switch function). Still got them and use them whenever I blow the dust off of DM. We started doing maps for Chaos, but with the na...

Re: What do you like/dislike about DM2 compared to original DM?
It's nice to see I wasn't alone in hating the minions. It was such a pain in the arse when you are constantly being harrassed by them. You take a sleep, bam there they are, going through your inventory, bam, go and take a phone call, bam your party is dead. I dunno just felt like it ruined the game ...
Hio! :)
Hey guys! Another new long time fan to poke around the boards :) Like many others here I played this game (A lot) in my youth. I was around 5 when the game came out, so I used to have to watch my parents play with my neighbour (Many late night drinking sessions partaken by them there) so if they wer...
