Re: wow has a year gone by?
don't panic. It takes them about 2 (working?) days to process a deposit. If by Monday afternoon/Tuesday morning or so it hasn't appeared then I would worry about it.

Re: yeah yeah..
I have my own domain and webspace, cgi and all. I am too lazy, or just too busy with stuff I enjoy more, to create my own message board system. I went in search of a *good* message board script / program whatever. Most all of the free ones are crap. I find that for the features available the ez-boar...

Re: wow has a year gone by?
I think they accept paypal - which allows you to pay directly from your checking account - but I don't know if paypal has expanded much beyond the USA. Also I am pretty sure that for renewal there is a 12 month option for $55 base (instead of $30) or something. I think they only offer it on renewal ...

Re: Sample Dungeons
I will be new to dungeon editing basically with RTC. I only messed with DMute a little, and that just real recently. So I had a couple of general questions. 1) In general about how many objects go into a dungeon? (how many are in DM? Was there a limit in DM?) 2) Is it going to be different in RTC? I...

Re: Sample Dungeons
they have to be sequential? Ouch. :( It would have been really nice to allow for even some alphanumeric characters. Even on intra dungeon design (not sharing dungeon peices) it would make it easier to work with if I could id all the peices of my "store" puzzle with stoxxxx at the begining ...

Re: Sample Dungeons
What is the range for IDs? Can they be alphanumeric? It would be really nice if they could because then complete puzzles could be made and 'taged' so they fit into any dungeon without conflicts. For instance I could start all my IDs with ama so my puzzles could use components with IDs ama0001 etc. T...

George: Please repost your old FAQ about RTC specific issues. Your site is looking good btw with all the ingame info, but the RTC faq is missed. Sggrack: What it boils down to is RTC isn't DM, its better. Instead of 320*200 resolution (i think) RTC has 640*480. Instead of a 16 (4bit) color color pal...

Re: OT - New site: DM Jump-point
At least some engines are using links to a site to determine how relevant it is. So for this I would suggest trying to convince all the pages you link to, to link back to you somewhere. However I don't know how long that would take to work through the system. Otherwise just a good use of keywords: A...

Re: V.1.5 not working
I think someone else had the same problem, you need to check your config file for the game to make sure the resolution and color depth are correct for your system. It may be best to set them equal to what you currently use on your desktop.

Re: Ever thought about going open source?
To my understanding: 1)At least some of the code is propietary 2)This is George's personal project, he would lose that if he opened the source to be worked on. Sheer speculation is this is something like my own personal project I am working on - a demo. That is, it's a very nice peice of software th...

Re: OT - New site: DM Jump-point
Nice site! Maybe just me but I would prefer a standard link bar rather than the drop down menu. This is probably mostly because I looked at all the links, clicked somewhere else on the page, this closed the menu but didn't change the focus..... so when I used my mouse wheel to scroll down the page I...

Re: Thank you
The one thing I would like are full screen (or dungeon view) interupting events. An event where the dungeon view area or the whole sceen is replaced with either specified text or a picture. A picture would be better but.... I know this is a bit un-DM like, but I think it would really help to make a ...

Re: Sample Dungeons
I think Beowuuf is right. A simple dungeon with lots of little things in it would be great. I think you also said multiple wall graphics per level would be allowed? Some example of this might be nice too, if it exists. I may be straying but will releasing the dungeon format also allow us to incorpor...

Re: Compatibility between versions to save data
Unfortunatly the nature of most bugs is that they are in the dungeon files (the save files) themselves, and so to fix it the save files must change. I also think alot of the time the main engine changes in someway that also expects the save game to be changed, hence the worst incompatibilities. It i...

Re: intelligent facing
Hm maybe a hot key that resets the party positions? That would be nice.
Thinking in type... it would be really nice if you could save 3 or 4 positions. For example pressing shift-F5 will save the position, and pressing F5 will reset to that position. Do the same for F5-F8.

For the text, the text is visible (in the unreadable way) before you step on the pad, then when you step on the pad then off the pad it dissapears. Not sure that it matters that much though.

Re: can i change the original Dm to the multilingual vers.?
This does bring up an interesting concept though. Is there anyway to make alternate language dungeons? I can think of two ways of doing this: Seperate text files: For example the default would be english.lng but someone could make a espanol.lng file and specify its use in the .ini file. Text include...

About (6) : I remember there was a problem where teleporting onto a monster crashed the game, this must have been george's solution. Aahhh yeah you are right Beowuuf. Hm automap might be nice, but getting lost is one of the aspects of this game...
