Re: Executioner Door

Hmmm, I don't think I know of any of those type of doors (Iron Bars Door) that can actually be opened via axe. The Iron Bars Doors in the Oitu nest in DAIN are meant to be bash-able also but don't seem to be able to be, although they can be blown open. So individual doors don't have their own requir...

Re: Executioner Door

Yes that's the door I meant. Sorry, not sure what I was thinking when I wrote out those co-ordinates. Game sent. I believe the little switch you mentioned only works in the Amiga version of the game and is broken in the Atari version, which CSBWin is based on. But logically, yes, it may too easy if ...

Executioner Door

According to CSBuild, the door at 11, 31, 08 is chop-able, but in CSWin this does not seem to be the case. I thought breaking doors was based on level, but maybe strength is a factor or something else, but even with my high master level character virtually OD'ing on strength potions it still seemed ...

Re: [CSBwin] Conflux III: the Undercity

@Zyx: Don't rush on my behalf! I'm happy to wait :) I just finished a play through of CSB with CSBWin version 15.7, which was the latest I could find, and I didn't notice any strange behaviour with the monsters. I did notice the spells monsters cast are now at full strength! I'm guessing a fix was p...

Re: [CSBwin] Conflux III: the Undercity

It looks like the WIP007 bug fix version came out around September this year, according to posts in the main Conflux thread. So maybe the version from December last year is the WIP006 version? But if there are issues with the WIP007 version regardless it's probably best to wait to see if Zyx has any...

Hi all, looking for the latest Conflux III version, which I believe is WIP007. Unfortunately the only link I could find, http://www.cyberskald.com/conflux/Conflux_WIP007.zip, appears to be down. Does anyone have a mirror or a way to get the latest version? Just finished a play through/recording of C...

Re: Game of Thrones books

They're great! Pretty brutal and nitty gritty compared to other books of similar genre which is different and interesting, great story and characters. Highly recommend this series. The only problem is the rate at which the author writes, you finish the latest book and can't wait to read more, then h...

Tried any of the versions from this site? http://planetemu.net/index.php?section=roms&dat=754&page=d Possibly the best site for old Amiga games. There's about 8 or so versions, tried one of the Dungeon Master 3.6 versions any it seemed to work fine on Windows with UAE. Would second CSBWin th...

Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

It's the same teleporter that appears either way, just below the starting pit, it can just be activated in two ways I think. Last time I actually tried this was a few versions back though so it could have changed. I just remember it appearing there, so I'm not exactly sure where the second trigger i...

Hi there, 2. There's also ruster eggs in Moria, if there's any rusters left, keep killing them and loading until one drops an egg. If they're all dead, not sure if you can get another... 4. The deathtrap dungeon section can be opened at one of the guild endings, a teleporter appears right at the beg...

Re: Playing CSB again

Hmmm, so you must have entered the area through the 'prove you are a wizard' section, then gone across the 'bridge', and doubled back to the teleporter that appears behind you? Or did you head through the back door with the Vorpal Blade and Onyx Key? Have you killed a tough Coatl that carried an ora...

Hi, I use Windows 7 64 bit and it doesn't work. Crashes soon as I run it, there is not missing parameter error anymore, like there was with the previous version. The screen shots look great though, looking foward to a working version.

Cheers, that version worked fine. That particular recording was only a couple of minutes, just ran around madly, saved, exited and restarted to test out the splicer with the two log files. I'll send you some logs when I do something a bit more involved.

Re: Conflux III discussion thread - potential spoilers

Which version of SpliceCSB should I be using? I tried SpliceCSB21 but it didn't seem to be able to find logs previous to one I put in it to splice together, so it only gave me playfile of whatever log I put in it. Is the correct way to use the splicer to simply drag and drop the latest recording ont...

Re: Fulya level

Hmmm, since you can take out saves without affecting the game, would it be possible to insert saves? Then the game could be started from the save game point, after running it through at high speed. For games that already have saves in them, it would be quite easy wouldn't it? Especially if you kept ...

I've had a go at all of those at various times I think. Infact, there is a recording of each. The secret path is used in my first few CSB recordings, the recordings that are an hour or more I think. The recordings under an hour but above 15 minutes, use a master key obtained from NETA to go through ...

Ok fair enough, I hope the bug is an easy fix! I'm actually half way through my first year of Computer Science at university at the moment, but I doubt I could be any help as of yet :) Another reason I thought the automatic playfile creator would be useful is that I think the record/playback in CSBW...

That sounds great, thanks for the effort :) When I wiped my game, there were a lot of logs missing, I believe what I had done was save a group of 100 logs over the top of another group of 100 logs. I could only restore my game to a much earlier point, close to the start. I still don't quite understa...

Hi there, been lurking a bit recently again.... I didn't upload that video but it is the record holding 10:37 video, it's run without extra ticks so it plays back slightly too fast, %20 it seems. That is the speed it always plays back at without extra ticks. But with extra ticks the playback it too ...

The puzzle there is quite literal, there are two items which you could use, it's the items name which is important, not what it does... Hope that helps! And there's a recording of me playing through the game with the Cursed Guild floating around somewhere, on Paul's site I think.

Can't remember if coins can go through a portcullis, thought they could... but corbums definitely can, so you can get stuck on the Pain Rat level in DM. There's a list of all the dead ends in DM and CSB somewhere on the forums, pretty sure it was off topic ages ago so it would be hard to find. The F...
