Those are Microsoft-Runtime-DLLs for MSVC.
Perhaps check this link
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/hel ... -downloads
Haven't tried it now. The letter d before the dll means probably, that this is the debuggable version. That's a bit strange. sphenx could know.

Re: DM2 for Windows: skwin / skwinspx / skproject status
Reading those old codes, I'm getting instantly tired. I'm still stuck with this 'FILE' problem. There is some devicestate needed. I wonder if that is because of some caching system and is just in the PC version. I still got no idea what this all means and how to solve this. Will continue to try.

Re: DM2 for Windows: skwin / skwinspx / skproject status
After all those years, wouldn't it be easier to try to contact one of the makers for that they provide the original code? (if they are still alive...)

Re: DM2 for Windows: skwin / skwinspx / skproject status
I now managed to compile the newest version of the library myself. Using 'cmake' is like jumping out of an airplane to dive back into time. It's unfunny like ever... There's still the 'FILE'-problem left. I'll trace the missing variable and hope it will vanish finally. Will checkout skwin on github ...

Re: DM2 for Windows: skwin / skwinspx / skproject status
I just gave it a try to compile the project with old MSVC 9.0 and Allegro-library version 5.0.10 With some allegro-filename-adjustments for compiler and linker the project did compile fine in the end. And it still runs. Don't know if i can make it with the 2019 version of MSVC and the newest Allegro...

Re: DM2 for Windows: skwin / skwinspx / skproject status
Hi Sphenx, I recently wrote a message to Christophe. I got a problem with my DM2 source and MSVC 2019. The FILE struct changed, so I cannot get the handle out of it and because all of the source was WATCOM-based, I must find a solution for that. Basically it is equal to me where the project is place...

Re: DM2 for Windows: skwin / skwinspx / skproject status
Be a little patient please - must dig them out and test. Don't want to provide wrong stuff. Especially have to check if they compile with the newer MSVC-Express-Versions and then they need a library (Allegro) which came up with a brandnew layout. Maybe I can port that. If not, it has to work with th...

Re: DM2 for Windows: skwin / skwinspx / skproject status
Hi Christophe, Hi Sphenx, perhaps my latest code of DM2 is a little helpful too. I made a dropbox-project with Sphenx and there should be my latest code. Sphenx and me left the project almost the same time. While Sphenx could name a lot of variables, maybe my code is even a bit more stable. I did it...

Re: Dungeon Master 3-D
After all Rasmus did that all in a very very short time. For that it is just great. I'd wished he had stayed longer. I recently cleaned up all my backup-disks. So maybe there is a chance that I can find even a newer version - but that DM-folder is pretty large. In that time I made my own disassembly...

Re: Can't find anything about the 3-D Dungeon Master endeavor
Hi Wuufy, do you mean that project Rasmus did in about 2012? I just checked, version links are down. Maybe try to contact him again - looks like he's still busy with his dungeon dwellers. https://dwelvers.com/contacts/ Maybe he still has some stuff left, maybe even something working that's worth to ...

I think I downloaded them sometimes to test my truecolor mode. If needed, I'll dig them out. But it's better someone else keeps the copies, because I don't know how long I will keep my domain.

I know.
About 64-bit-code: I still never tried it, but I assume it's possible to restrict pointer sizes to 4 bytes, else a lot of original structures run in troubles.

Re: CSB potential update
When I made my DM/CSB-clones, I enhanced all graphical things to work with truecolor, if an appropriate graphic file is available. I then exploded the graphics.dat-file and converted the graphics to match mask colors. But I could not adjust the graphics caching system, so at a certain point I decide...

If things are going to be really outdated, an ungrade is needed. Just the week my Win-profile got somehow destroyed and it just gave me a temporary profile - deleting all changes at the end of a session... I could fix that, but somehow it deleted a lot of stuff in the registration. So the registrati...

oh_brother's I played for a little bit too - if it's that one where you played different people with seperate time.
And lurking into Saumun's spoiler, I think he's right.
After all I'm pretty surprised about this wide palette of gametypes that those few people here are used to!

King's saga games are for dead time on trains and at airports. I don't know anyone who plays them 'seriously' ? The girl from our pub tells me she's at level 906 - seriously or addicted? And yes Ameena. You can play them for free, but you can buy boosters that help to finish difficult levels. You c...
