You can deal with twisters the same way you can deal with scepters and ghosts, if that is what you ask. I've started noticing this problem elsewhere, so it may be something to do with my computer settings.
Just thought I should mention this, since I was the one who brought up the problem in the first place.

The weapon replicator can be found at the bottom of the path to the Sudden Death. The only problem with it is that it can only be used once. There are many items that are meant for specific champions. Sonja can wield Leviathon with bonuses and without penalties. The crystal sword can damage anyone ...

I haven't encountered the twisters yet. Are they in the original? If so, I guess it's been too long since the last time I played it.
Are there any 'usable' spells for the twisters? Distance is my friend.
