Renaming Champions
Is it possible to add a "name edit" function? It's nice to edit the pictures, but why no name-changing?

You couldn't in the original DM/CSB - you could only rename characters if you re-incarnated them at the beginning. However, in the proper DM2, you can rename characters at your leisure. But since George's DM2 is of course using the RTC engine, it has to follow the same rules as DM and CSB in thie respect.

RTC in fact isn't the original game, so why not expand some features?
This was directed to George, if he could add this feature.Lordlibrasulus wrote:Is it possible to add a "name edit" function? It's nice to edit the pictures, but why no name-changing?

sorry but there's something here i don't understand.
first : if your suggestion is to be able to change the name of a resurrected character, then it is just not logical.
resurrect = to raise from the dead; bring to life again as you were before.
reincarnate = to cause to be reborn in another body or in a new form.
secondly : modifying character portraits is only possible within the editor *and* name-changing is already possible when you create a new character for you own dungeon.
see ?

Maybe i explained it not clear. Next try:
If you start a new adventure and load characters from an other game
(e.g. DM characters for CSB), you can change the picture, but not the name.
My special case:
I played the DMII dungeon and now i want to play with these characters the CSB one. But for the feeling, i want to change their appearance.
So Cletus would be Hissssa, Seri will become Chani and so on...
I can change the picture, but not the name.
Now understanding?
